Let's Talk Paid Traffic

So today, I want to talk about paid traffic as well as gather some opinions on it from the community.

My site trust is increasing, and I am seeing more page 1 results on Google.

Now that SEO is finally coming along, I am interested in learning more about paid traffic. I came across a website, and I made an investment of $20 for 5,000 targeted traffic visitors.

I have not seen any extra clicks on search console, or on my bing dashboard. They say however they have already delivered over 1,000 visitors.

The name of this site was called LinkTargeter. I feel out of 1,000 visitors, I should have got at least a few conversions. I feel I was scammed.

There is a similar site called Humaneyeballs. The sales video for this basically convinces people that solo ads are dead, and that a lot of that is "robot traffic".

They were actually kind of expensive, but the reviews were mixed.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with these kind of websites and have had any success.

I am also curious if these claims ar true about solo ads being mostly robot traffic and not converting as much as they used to.

I am also looking into Bing ads, but almost all of my posts are already in the top spot on page 1, so I am not sure if it is worth the investment.

Google ads are my next investment. I would just like the communities opinions on these matters.

Any other advice or ideas for paid advertising? Any and All advice or ideas would be appreciated.

Thank you Wealthy Affiliate Community.

Great advice!
I think that FB Ads and Google Ads can be quite interesting if used properly.

Thanks for this post and I would like to ask a question. What if availed of the paid traffic but no one of the traffic had converted? How can I be sure that traffics bought can really contribute to the purpose and not just the increase of visitors with no conversion?

I think the place where you should put your money is Facebook stories, Instagram stories and LinkedIn. It depends of course on which platform fits your niche best. Of course like others said, you should educate yourself on paid content.

The platforms you mentioned sound very scammy and are probably botted. You need real traffic of people that will buy from you, not uninterested generated accounts or bots browsing your content.

The great thing about social media is that you can do this for free first to try it out. What works you should put your money on and promote on. Bing and Google have become pricey. They are still good platforms if you find the right keywords.

If you rank for as many articles as you said, you should be having loads of traffic, otherwise the keywords aren't good or you just need to make more content.

Your best bet is ppc...facebook..google..bing
Bing is usually cheaper but when starting out you will have to do a lot of split testing to find the right fit.
Do a search up on top here for ppc you will find trainings on it.

you should educate yourself about paid ads before putting money in it.

I have experience in Google ads and Facebook Ads, they are extremely powerful and scalable, but you must know what you are doing or you will waste a lot of money

You have to understand your motivation when paying for traffic at these types of sites. You pay to get "targeted traffic" to your website. But, these websites tend to attract other people with the same motivations as you. These are people who are paying to have "targeted traffic" sent to their site. You and they are not there to buy products. So, it's hard to imagine how they are giving you targeted traffic when all they are attracting are people who are all trying to sell each other their offers. Why would someone that is not looking for people to buy visit this website? What would be the appeal of these for people who are not specifically looking to buy to visit websites such as these?

If you are willing to pay for traffic, you'll likely be better off using PPC in major engines like Google and Bing. You can also use Facebook ads. At least with these platforms, they do target people better than the link sites you specified.

Best Regards,
Jim

Thanks Jim, that makes sense. Another lesson learned.
