Hi guys,

Just a quick question. When I blog here at Wealthy Affiliate, I cannot "fetch as Google" so I can't get my post to rank immediately.

Do perhaps know how

Unfortunately, there is no set time frame. Sometimes it can be just a few days, sometimes weeks.

Thank you so much for your response.

I will then just be patient and wait :)

Hi guys,

I know that nobody knows exactly, but how often can I place affiliate links? I don't mean per post, I mean, in how many posts.

Somebody told me for every

I think the question is, how is it working for you? If you are receiving a decent number of click throughs/sales with only a few links, then stay with that. If not, test a few more and see how they do. Good luck, Tom

Thanks Tom, will do. Very helpful!

To be honest i do not post affiliate links at all unless it is on a product review page... all my other content is affiliate free but I will put a link or two there directing to a product review.

This way all my affiliate links are on my product reviews only and not all over my site.... It is just the way i do it...

But maybe that can be questioned too?

Chris

Hi Chris,

I also do it like that. Think that is the best way.

How often do you write reviews then?

Regards,

Cj

I have around 8 or 9 reviews permanently on there,, and to be honest have been focusing more on the helpful content rather than review after review!!

Hi guys,

I am nearing the expiration of my Amazon Associates account (3 months) and I don't know what happens when they deactivate (close) your account due to no referra

Buying through your own link is not allowed, so don't do it.

I suppose a friend or relative who lives at a different location and is looking to shop at Amazon can do so through your link.

Not sure about the links. Don't fret about it. Lay low and see what happens. ~Jude

Hi guys,

This may come across as a stupid question, but this morning I checked one of my keywords in google and it showed I am on the first page of google.(I almost got

Yes, I can help you with that. Google's job as a search engine is to provide you with what it believes are the most relevant search results for you. Google collects lots of data about you and when you search for anything online, it provides you with what it deems to be the most relevant content for you as an individual. In other words, Google is personalizing your search results.

Since you are the creator of your website and you have no doubt spent quite a bit of time working on the page in question, Google sees this page as being very relevant to you. That's why you see it displayed on page 1. Searching on Google in the normal way isn't an accurate way to see your search results.

Thank you very much, this is very helpful to me.

I appreciate the help!

Cj

No problem, glad to help!

The best way to check your page rank is by using an incognito or private window in your browser. Google automatically lists pages you've previously visited if you don't use incognito.

Thank you so much.

This helps a lot!

Hi guys,

Just a quick question...I checked one of my posts that was on page 6 of google, if it might of climbed a page or two, but I found my post on page 15?!

D

I just wanted to update for the people who has the same problem. I checked my ranking again today for the same keyword and the result was page 5.

That's normal, you have a young website and things can change very hard in the beginning, your ranking can jump up and down for a while...
It is already good that you are jumping between page 6 and 15.... ;-)

Grtz,
Bert

haha okay cool, thanks a lot. Just got a big fright when that suddenly happened. Most of my posts are between page 2 and 7 that is why it was so weird for me. (Still pushing for page one, but it is difficult!)

Thanks for the reply. It is much appreciated!
