I am building a site for a client that sells handmade jewelry. Through the training here at WA, I know that good SEO is built in to blog posts. What about products though?
<

You can also be creative in how you write. I usually identify the market segment and the break down the top reasons why people buy a specific product. Therefore, while the general product description remains the same, how you pitch it to each segment is based on the key reasons people buy. You may end up having 3 - 4 key reasons per products.

A Unique description is better than duplicating.

I figured as much. I did do some research on product description SEO and that is the same thing I came up with, but do you still try to weave the keywords I am trying to rank for in to each unique description?

Yes, if you can do it naturally. Don't force it.

That makes sense. Thank you for the help!

If you are posting your URL as a status on FB then it is using the same picture you have set up for FB.

Sonny

Thank you for the answer. I have never had it do that to me before. What are your suggestions for getting around that? Do I need to add a photo to the post before publishing it?

I uploaded another post utilizing a random photo, along with the url, and it posted correctly this time. Thanks for the feedback manna4star2. Just wish it was a little easier than that haha.

I would suggest maybe change your FB picture.

hi,for me it is different l always pay attention on each site a , different photos, but for WA l had no more pictures,so l put an image ( it's possible ) instead later l'll replace it

Does anybody here hire freelance writers for their affiliate business? I am looking at hiring from upwork, but curious as to how popular of an opinion it is. I know I should be

hi,personally i think if you want to be attractive in your writing do it yourself just because it's your idea and motivation you are creating your first own niche. But l understand if you are very busy by your 5x8 job and others ...you should manage your time differently. Try to find 1 hour to make your title and principals ideas to attract,in a rough draft, and then you can work on it with somebody close to you better writer a friend or an affiliate on private online, the way of dashboard content ? just an idea

Thanks for the suggestions! Breaking free from my day job is my ultimate goal, but fortunately I have some time, just not as much as I want, to be able to write. Writing is just not my strong point. I know the subject and can speak to it all day long. But writing it down in words is time consuming for me. Practice makes perfect though!

With any site and any niche, you don't know which of your articles will perform well and which won't.

What that means in reality is that you could be writing 100 articles and get hardly any results. Then that 101st article comes and is the success post you've been working towards for so long.

At that point, you can analyze the traffic you're getting and see for which related keywords and topics you're ranking, write more articles on those subjects, and further increase your traffic.

If you're hiring writers, you could end up paying a lot of money upfront without any results. On the flip side, the more content you produce the sooner you can get to the "money posts" that bring you the traffic and results you desire.

I guess in the end it depends on your budget and how much you're willing to lose, before you win it back later. It could go fast, or it could go slow - and you need to factor that in.

Sorry that I couldn't give a simple "yes or no" answer, but I still hope this helps you make a decision.

Thank you. Your advice definitely makes sense. Probably the best route would be find somebody I have a good relationship with and work out some kind of deal. But in the end, being able to write to the content of the niche is difficult. I will write the content myself for now, but if this launches like I am hoping it will, I will come back to looking in to freelancing.

Thanks for the help!

One of the best advice I've heard on this was: "If you can't write traffic-generating blog posts yourself, how are you going to instruct someone else to do it for you?"

This one really struck me hard because if it was really THAT easy, then any freelance writer would be a millionaire blogger.

The art and the skill, in the end, is a whole mix of: Keyword research, understanding your target audience, being personal and authentic, and consistency.

Let me know if you have any other questions or thoughts on this. Always happy to connect with others!

Perfect advice! Thanks for passing it along. :) I definitely get it, to be an authority on the web, I need to be involved in the content. Keyword research alone wont cut it, which is what I was secretly hoping for in the beginning.

I need to keep stealing like an artist. Great book by the way if you havent had the chance to read it, I highly recommend it, Steal like an artist. It speaks a lot to what WA is encouraging people to do.

I am about to finish my current book and was looking to order a new one. Thanks for the recommendation, I will read it! I've just checked the book cover online and I can already tell this is the kind of topic I love :D

Hi - be aware that this can be an expensive option in the early stages when you are not making any income. A good quality writer, who can tackle any subject with authority, and has knowledge of SEO and ranking with Google, will charge at least $50 for one 1000 word article.

Of course, you can find cheaper writers, but you would need a method of checking that they are not simply using content already published.

Thank you, very valid points for sure. Didnt think of the validation part of content that may already be published. Last thing I want to do is accidentally copy and paste from other sites.
