I wouldn't share personal information on the web. You can set up a fan page on FB and connect that page to your website and there's no charge
Any free advertisement is good. Watch out FB has a page you can use but they also charge you.

I think it depends. People will connect with personal, and it can spark positive and negative emotions. Either way, it can lead to greater engagement. However, the real question is how YOU feel about this. If you wouldn't hang it on your letter box, maybe don't post it online. OR... simply create a 'persona' which is totally fine and 100% ethical. You could even use your first name with no last name and create a cool little cartoon version of yourself. Many people do this when they have privacy concerns. Just my thoughts, hope this helps :)
