Strolling Along The Super Affiliate Challenge Roadway
Have you ever been to the famed crookedest road in San Franscisco ? It is on Lombard Street it is only a one block section but in that space it boosts an impressive 8 Hair pin turns!! The speed limit as you can well imagine is only 5 miles per hour. It is an interesting site to see for sure. Personally I have seen it a handful of times and have driven down it once. Why? Just because it was there. LOL
What does this have to do with Wealthy Affliate and the Super Affiliate Challenge?
Two things - Perspective and Slow and Steady
Slow and Steady
this is pretty easy to figure out. Like Lombard Street to get anywhere you have to do it slowly and steadily. The speed limit on the street is only 5 miles per hour but it will get you from point A to point B in one piece.You just have to keep moving forward at a consistent pace,this is a one way street you can not go backwards. Wealthy Affiliate is the same way,each article or each training we do gets us one step closer to our goal.We just have to keep moving forward,writing a little at a time if that what it takes.As long as we are doing some forward action. We can never go backwards from where we were yesterday or when we first started Wealthy Affiliate as we learn something new every day.
Perspective
This is a picture of Lombard Street from the top. Pretty scary isn't it,you can't see the bottom and looking at this picture it looks like you might just drive over a cliff. Well over half a million people a year (can you believe it) take that leap of faith and drive down this road.
When we all started at Wealthy Affiliate most of us did not know where it would take us or how we would get there. We took a leap of faith. Why? Each of us have our own reasons and our own WHY. For most it was to better ourselves in some way. Money, health, the opportunity to learn or to help someone. For time freedom or like when I drove down Lombard Street many years ago...Just because it was there !
Our journey here at Wealthy Affiliate has many twists and turns this is a given. It is part of the learning process and part of building positive mindsets for success. In everything we do we can look at the next hairpin turn as a roadblock or by excitement to see what is around the next turn. In the case of Lombard Street here around every turn you are greated by historic houses and grand beautiful flowers.
I look at the Super Affiliate Challenge to push me to achieve all the beauty the windy road can bestow. Perspective I see it as a blessing and opportunity,others may see it as work. Which ones do you think will have the right mindset to finish?

I can certainly appreciate your analogy, Cathy. When I lived in that area, I'd take visitors down Lombard Street to give them the thrill of heading down a road that is so crooked and steep, you can't see around the next corner; it's actually quite scary.

That's an interesting looking street. If you go down that street really fast you can crash your car. I rather drive my car on Lombard St. in Baltimore. Lol.
This is a perfect analogy to my journey...sometimes I think I have it and other times I feel like I am driving my truck on a road made for smart cars.

I totally understand everything you're saying in your post. When I started here I was kinda overwhelmed at all the info here but the slow and steady route has gotten me where I am today, just like Lombard St. Thanks for your post.
