Tips for Newbies Part2

First I would like to welcome all new members to WA! You have made a great decision by joining this amazing program.

About 6 months ago I wrote a post to help new members by sharing some tips that I found to be helpful and wish I knew when I first started here.

Here is the link: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.co...

At the end of that post, I wrote: "If I think of some more tips to share along the way I will make another post!"

Well almost six months later and here I am again with some more tips to share with our new members.

Starting from where I left off!

Tip #9 - Use the search help bar, it's at the top of every page. You can type anything that has to do with affiliate marketing and it will show you a list of every training, video, post or question asked about the word or words you typed into the search. It's like an encyclopedia for Wealthy Affiliate.

Tip #10 - Get help when you need it by asking questions or visiting the live chat. Most questions get answered within minutes.

Tip #11 - Before leaving a message on a member's profile take the time to read their bio. It will help you get to know more about them. It's also a good idea to look at the date they joined so you will know if they are a new member or someone who has been here awhile.

Tip #12 - Check your followers often. It's common courtesy to follow back all who are following you.

Tip #13 - Keep in mind that this takes dedication and time. Don't get discouraged if your progress is slow, keep at it and don't give up.

Tip #14 - Don't get caught up in the technical part and rankings. Concentrate on your writing, that is most important now.

Tip #15 - Like I said before, enjoy your time here and remember to add some fun to your day!

Your journey here is what you make. You and you alone can take what you learn and turn it into a successful business.

Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. Pele

To your success,

It will take more than a lifetime to avail yourself of all the great advice here!

That is so true!

Great tips

Thanks, glad you liked them.

I have a serious problem with 'tips' #11, #12, #13 and #14, there is absolutely NO pressure on newbies to give the community dedication and time and read bios and follow, some people have been complaining that reading posts and emails is taking them an hour each day - how ridiculous to expect people to do that when they actually come here for the training and hosting!

If people enjoy 'people watching' and reading blogs and bios and courtesy, then fine but there is no obligation on anyone joining WA to give their time in that way. However answering questions is beneficial to them as it consolidates their knowledge.

As for not getting caught up in the 'technical part and rankings' - actually it's a problem when people don't concern themselves with their websites, hosting, and SEO...

First off these are just tips that I found to be helpful. None of them are mandatory. I am just sharing things that I found helpful while growing my business.
Getting involved in the community is a great way to learn here but you do not have to if you don't want to.
For new members, learning how to write quality content is the most important part of building a website. Level #1 of the getting started course focuses on writing quality content. Don't jump ahead to something you are not ready for. The lessons are set up in an order that works. Master one thing before you move on to the next.

Thanks for the tips They are most helpful Also I love the moving kitten

You're welcome, glad you found it to be helpful. >^.^<
