Are you THINKING about buying a domain?
Well, don't think about it for too long!
This is for those of you who have not yet purchased your own domain name for your website. When I first started here about six months ago I hesitated to spend more money on purchasing a domain. I kept asking myself "do I really want to invest more money into this being I am already spending $47 a month?" Once I finally realized that WA was definitely the real deal I committed myself 100% to building a successful website by following all the lessons here. My website was 3-month-old at the time I purchased my domain and it had 30% site trust. At that time I didn't understand how site trust worked. I now know that site trust increases by 10% each month, so the older your site gets the more trust it will have.
Well, guess what happens when you purchase your own domain?
It is now looked at as a brand new website and your site trust will go back to 0%! What a bummer, if I had known this I would not have procrastinated on purchasing my domain.
I am writing this post to help anyone who is thinking about purchasing a domain. Stop and ask yourself this questions, "Am I 100% dedicated to making this work?" If you said yes, then go buy your domain now. It will only cost you around $13 for a year and will save you from losing months of site trust.
Happy Holidays to all,

Thank for sharing this value experience, and insight. personally,I didn't buy it yet, not procrastinate but need good domain name relate with my niche.
Good to know Cathy.....I didn't know that. How does it work if the site url was purchased some time ago, but never built.......is it still brand new once I build it? I have two urls.....one is going to be a blog, the other an affiliate monetized web site. I hope they're looked at as having some age to them. However, it is what it is.

It would be only for the site itself. Site trust is based on how long the site has been published.
Thanks Cathy for pointing this . I'm sure it will be an eye opener for those members who haven't already purchased their own domain.
