Early steps and about to start with my first niche!
Hi folks, I have been on WA for a couple of days and what the site offers is beyond the word wow. Anyway I had been attempting research and was not sure if having a niche in miniature war gaming was possible. I do Warhammer 40,000 a table-top game set in the future by Games Workshop which is one of the biggest brands in retail here in the UK. There are several sites that offer commissions as many war gaming suppliers sell and stock GW products.
As it has been written in the training, the best niches are those you already maintain an interest in. For me as stated in my profile's bio, I'm into miniature war gaming so it's clear and not only can I promote and write about products for that niche I can use my own hobbying to show how models are assembled and provide an insight into what a kit can do. Also, 40k as it's known by its fans has lots of Lore (the game's actual story and background) and is so vast. Of the many things that are promoted massively on both Pintrest and Instagram (the former often monitors hashtags from IG).
It's exciting because I can use my hobbying not only to promote and showcase but to have an actual bit of fun which will add much to a reward. I totally acknowledge that it won't be easy but the aims of my WA blog is to explain and chart my journey and my one peice of advice to the new members is to run with something you love and enjoy. Why not turn affiliate marketing into a passion that you are already into.
I'm already finding WA to be incredibly enriching in terms of not only training but a wonderful community who take an active watch in all we do. Sometimes it takes a while to get going but in the end down the road there will be ample reward. Thanks for the welcome everyone :)
Oh and picutre at the top are miniatures from 40k that I painted myself! I'm not a class model painter but these were early attempts and just like with websites and marketing, they'll get better over time :)

Great to hear, ever since I joined WA I learnt so much and was able to utilize a lot of things set out before me, you got an awesome niche I love Warhammer, especially Age of Reckoning so sad its gone :( I really like that you have your own painted miniatures, you can definitely build upon that, good luck to you!
