Hi Everybody!

I got an email from WA about my first ever referral, which made me so happy! I must be doing something right!😆 I wanted to get in touch via private

Here's the answer, Cheers!

You can find you referrals by clicking the $ icon above and then selecting My Referrals,

Every member, regardless if they are promoting WA or not, should create their welcome messages that will automatically be sent to your referral once they join.

However there are also some things that Kyle does not want members doing with their new referrals, like getting the WA community to welcome the new referral without first getting the referral's permission to do so.

Know what it really means to get a WA referral and how / when to welcome them. See below.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know there was info about referrals. I am learning every day and should stay that way.

Thanks!

Catherine

You are welcome.

Diane has you covered, Cathy! Congrats on the referral!

Thanks, Jeffrey!

Have a great Sunday!

Catherine

Likewise, Catherine!

Hi Catherine
He should be your most recent follower in yiur network. He will have a symbol on his profile pic to identify him as a referral
You can also find them by clicking the dollar icon at top of dashboard and looking in My Referrals

Hi Dave!

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the referral symbol. I managed to find my referral and write to them.😃👍

Have a great Sunday.

Hi Everybody!

I was wondering if I need to add my affiliate disclosure (or inform people about my affiliate links) on my social media platforms?

Catherine

Featured Comment

Unless you are directly selling products through links on social media, no, you don't need to disclose affiliate status on that social media platform.

Example A.) Mary is registered as an affiliate with adcorp, who gives her Link "adcorp.com/marys_product". Mary posts this link on her Facebook page.

Example B.) Mary posts the same link on her website, which has an affiliate disclosure. Mary then posts the link to her website, "marys_site.com" to Facebook.

In example A, Mary should disclose that she is an affiliate on Facebook, since she stands to earn money directly after visitors leave Facebook and follow her link.

In example B, Mary does not need to worry about disclosing her affiliate status on Facebook, since any potential customers will learn this on her website before making a purchase.

An easy rule of thumb is that the last site a customer is on before making any purchases should disclose affiliate status.

For this reason, I would wager that it's always best to send traffic to your website and sell from there. Not only does this ensure that every purchase is affiliate status disclosed, but it will also help you with your search engine indexing.
Hope this helps.

~Tom

Great explanation, Tom!

Jeff

in examplle 1 you are breaking terms and conditions of social media sites

Thanks for the information. I like the idea to drive traffic to your website.

Thanks for the great explanation!

Catherine

Thanks, Jeff!

If you are just posting links to products other then you sending to your website ... then yes ...
if sending to your website you have disclosed that you are marketing
Tim

you should be sending traffic to offers the first rule is drive traffic to your website and then drive traffic from there to your offer. Apart from anything else you are breaking T and C 's by sending traffic directly to offers

Thanks for the info!

Catherine

This is a very good question. Twitter and Instagram are short, nowhere to add affiliate disclosure. When sharing on social media, directing them back to your site where affiliate disclosure is posted.

I was just wondering about this myself today as I put a few links out there on Twitter. Thanks!

Thats a great question, I would like to know that as well. Someone should know

Worth investigating further. I'm always concerned when there isn't a phone number.

Good to know Catherine. I hope that they can sort it out soon for you.
Lily 😊

Customer service does not exist anymore. Unless you call Hapu from India customer service and he can barely speak English.

That's true about Pinterest. 🤣 Very poor customer service. They at least solved my problem after one and a half weeks.😂 I would have left Pinterest if they didn't.

Have a great week!

Catherine

Hi Cathy,
I remember contacting them by email a year ago when I had some technical issues - you should be able to connect with them by an email below:

https://help.pinterest.com/en/contact

If you start with the "Overview" section under "Get More Help" - this should send an email to Pinterest for someone to contact you.

I've been looking for a customer service number too - but, I can't find one anywhere either.

I hope this helps.

Hi!

Thanks for the help but unfortunately the contact link you gave me was precisely the contact form I filled out and got a robot (automated) response from. I replied to the automatic robot response, and nobody responded. I am baffled and don't know what to do. I think I will get in contact with Kyle.

Thanks for the help!

Catherine

try clearing your cache. Seems unusual to me as I have not ever had a problem with Pinterest.
Michael.

I have cleared my cache, history and cookies both on Pinterest and web browser. I have also updated everything and still have the same problem.

Changed your web browser or checked if it is being blocked in your fire wall?
I would probably try a different web browser and see if that loads it.

To advertise on Facebook do you need to click Special Ad Category

Ads for credit, employment or housing offer

for a Black Friday post?

Thanks for the help!</

Hi! Facebook have some issues with credit, loans and employment ads (for employment based on gender and ethinicity. It doesn’t mean your ad will not run. I had problem with my ads for employment few times, had to write to them my ad is not violating their policy and all was good. It doesn’t have to be the case for you, just saying - don’t be surprised if they don’t approve the ad at first.
Hope this helps ☺️

Thanks for the advice and the help!

Have a great weekend!

Catherine

There are a lot of potential ad categories if you're going to pay for an ad. Facebook Blueprint have a lot of free training available and it gives you trusted points for following their courses too. Another way is to make a post on your business page and then boost the post when Facebook offers that. You then get to select where you want it to be shown. Hope this helps a little.

Steve C

Thanks for the tips, Steve!

Have a great weekend!

Catherine

Thank you Catherine, you too :-)

Steve

I just created a post about the black Friday deal on my blog and shared that on a Facebook post. Then I just ran a post boost. So I don't think you need the special ad category if you just share a post. If you are planning to advertise your affiliate link directly, then maybe but I wouldn't advise you to do that anyway.

Thanks for the advice!

Have a great weekend!
