I have used the request option once on the site comments. I asked for 2 comments, filled out all the forms but then couldnt find the submit button. After an exhaustive search i

You should be able to see your request if it has been submitted in the history section below. I'm presuming your website is hosted at WA because the option isn't available to outside hosting?

I believe when you click the preview button, you have then submitted your request, that is why credits were deducted

you are correct. However when i preview, it costs me double credits. Is there a way to only use one credit per request or does it take 2 credits to get one request?

it takes 2 credits for 1 request however, many times you will end up with more than the requested amount

I need to add an opt-in form on my website and found this while trolling around. Has anyone used it before? Any other suggestions?

thanks for the info...i'm new to all this and have just recently attempted to add a member box to my website....still working on all the pieces though

No worries Cathy. The trick is to try and try. I use the Author Box Plugin to good effect. Take a look at the Blog Posts on wiseloans.sg (such as http://wiseloans.sg/lower-mortgage-interests/) and see if you like how they look like! Buzz if you need any help!

Hi Cathy

I've not personally tried the opt-in cat plugin, but have used the Bloom plugin from Elegant Themes. While it's not a free plugin, I found the designs to be very elegant and usability to be great.

Alternatively, I have used the free Listbuilder Plugin by Sumome.

I guess the trick is to try various plugins and see how they work for you. I have gone through loads and had subsequently uninstalled them if I didn't like how they worked for me.

Hope this helps!

hi guys, where is the summit button for site comments

after many different versions of the same question, i finally figured out that its two credit for one request....i must have missed that totally in any of the training....thanks for the assist tho

Probably a temporary glitch which is unfortunate for you. I would submit a support ticket explaining what happened so they can fix it as well as give you back your lost credits.

I've got two posts on my website that can be moved under specific static tabs. One product review and one training tip (both of which also have tabs on my navigation bar). Do i

You CAN add post wherever you want, at several different places in the same time. It keeps the same url all the time. So you do not have to move it. Just add it in submenu and keep it in blog roll. Read here more:

thanks for that link! I just needed to know how to make a blog post into a page :)

I think you are talking about using categories. Don't copy the posts, Google doesn't like it. Have a look at this training and see if it helps http://thathelpfulchick.com/how-to-setup-your-wordpress-menu-using-categories/

When you create pages for your menu you don't have to go through the process of creating a post and then moving them to the menu area. Just create a new page and add your content then drag the new page into your already existing menu under the specific static tabs.
You can copy paste your posts content into pages and then delete your posts. I don't recommend having copied content on your website

so if i understand you, your suggestion was never have the same article as both a page and a post....i'm assuming google sees that as duplicated copy even if on the same website?

yes it will consider it duplicated content. You want to either write a page (that will go to your menu) or a post for your blog roll. If you want to make navigation easier for your audience you can then create post categories and add a post categories menu to your side bar =)

I think Cathy there is problem of terminology here. When you create a post it appears in blog roll. You can then add it to the main menu AS POST again, and you can put it there either a) under category page or b) as an ordinary item in sub-menu together with some other pages, or c) as a separate 'page' in the menu. It will always have the same url if you have done it properly see the link I gave earlier.

So the fact that you add it into the main menu does not mean it has become a 'page' or 'sub-page'.

There is no danger of duplicate content in principle, it has never been, Google is very explicit about this issue. This is yet another myth. But in the given case this is not an issue in any case.

Yes, I would think that would be a good idea. I'm actually trying to figure out how to do this on my own site, but seeing as WordPress only let's you have posts under home page or another static page, I can not find a way around this. You'd think there'd be a way to move specific posts to another static page of your site that's not the home page but I can't seem to find a way.

I do not understand your question. What categories on site comments?

Hi Cathy, I have had this problem also. Some of the categories I have been given to comment on, I just have no clue about. Because I don't think I can give a relevant comment, I often do move to another site. I do like to comment on sites which have a subject which I know a little about and/or I'm interested in. I'm sure that's the way to go. Ches
