What colours did you choose for your site and why?
Ok so I have spent a few days looking at colours for a new website and after some quite extensive research and playing with colour palettes I have come up with a set of 4 colours to use.
I would really appreciate your opinions on these colours please. How well you think they work together and which should be the most dominant of the blue, purple and green.
The yellow will not be used that often, only when needed as a lighter colour for graphics and script
I am curious to know what colours you chose for your sites and why did you chose them?

yellow is very bright and I will use it on posts with darker colours so I can brighten the mood.
A good web designer can succeed with any number of colours but for most of us, from what I read, we are better are limiting to three colours .. it is the same with a fashion outfit. The white also counts as a colour. Check out this resource for what colours convey:

Cheers, William.
I choose green for my health website and spirituality site, multy-basic-colors for my kidsart, blue for my training website and dark red and pink old for my WA promotion site.
I try to use max. 3 colors to keep it a unity
thanks Loes, colours are something I wanted to stick with to help with the branding of the site.
I am not great with colors. The ones you have shared seemed flat to me but on a page I am sure they will look fine. I tend to use oranges, greens and red. I have colored one site for Christmas.
Hey James, have been playing with golds and reds today getting all christmassy on some posters in Canva. Loving the colour gold called Vegas, its so bright :-)
I like the color combination, but I couldn't select a dominant color, without knowing what the site is about; the artist in me connects colors with feelings, so I couldn't choose a color for something without knowing how I feel about that a particular thing.

I wish I could adjust my colors. I like the blue, purple and yellow. Three seems good. Not so sure about a fourth one and green.. Maybe the other three. Good luck
I am working on different themes in a test site to see which one gives me the best results with changeability with fonts and backgrounds etc.
