Time - 2 Sides Of The Same Coin

If you viewed time as a coin and flipped it, which side would you want it to fall on?

Too much or not enough?

You are probably saying: "That is a silly question, Cassi!"

But, is it really?

How It Falls Is Up To You

You see, time is that one commodity that we all have the same amount of. But, IF we invest it wisely, we can have enough to share with others, regardless of what side the coin falls on.

Of course, it is very easy if the coin falls on the side of too much. Or so you would think. Too much could really mean that you are not investing your time as well as you should.

Too Much Can Add Years

Quite a few people have said to me that during COVID-19 confinement, they had too much time. I could not understand that at all and I am quite sure that many of you share that viewpoint.

I welcomed the additional time to be at home, building my online business, learning, supporting my daughter, starting a new herb garden, refurbishing a room or 2, reorganising my finances, developing new business ideas and strategies, catching up with friends and relatives around the world who I would not usually talk with so regularly and getting some much-needed rest.

As I look back on that time at home, I realise that I have done more in these past few months than I have done in years!

Many things that were on the back-burner got done and I am grateful for it.

Not Enough Can Lighten The Load

Being a half-full-glass kind of person, I do not let challenges get in my way. I find a way to remove them or work around them. I approach not having enough time that way too.

For me, it is a sign that I need to re-visit my priorities, delegate some more or, let go of some things.

If the coin falls on that side, I do not give in or give up. I take a deep breath and a closer look, make some changes and press on.

Once I am effective with that approach, I usually end up on the other side of the coin - enough time and a little extra. πŸ™‚

Amen, Cassi. I had more time at home to do things that when I was at work. You are so talented, when I saw the coin on your header and you started talking about time, I said to myself how is she going to put it together and you did it again. I hope you continue your Time Management series, I'm getting ideas that I really did not think of it before. Well Done Cassi. πŸ₯πŸŽ·πŸ“―

Eugene, for the times when doubt may set in, I refer to you to get me back on track. πŸ™‚

Your support is invaluable and, as I do with Roy, I always look forward to you feedback.

I am starting to play with my writing for creative engagement headers and titles.
Given your feedback, it seems to be going in the right direction.

Thank you - always.
Cassi

You got me on this one, this is a classic. You have the ability of taking two completely unrelated things and somehow (by the grace of God) you find a connection and build a story around it. Cassi you have a unique style, and God has favored you. Brilliant. I may have to come to you for advice, because you're leaving me in the dust.🀣🀣 Have a wonderful day my dear friend!

You are not in the dust at all, Eugene. πŸ™‚

Thank you so very much.
Cassi

Cassi, I like it so much how you have written this. There is time available if we take the small amount of time it takes to plan a little bit.

I had my hands full with a lot of stuff during the COVID-19 lockdown. I got to do several tasks that I didnΒ΄t get to do before the COVID-10 pandemic hit us.

Time doesnΒ΄t fall into our lap like a gift. I f we ewant to have time to do things with our family and friends, then we will have to create space for such precious moments. The only way to it, is to take time to do time management.

An essential rule of thumb in time management is not to "overfill" our To-Do list. One step at a time does it.

I had an instructor pilot at my squadron who told me that:

"it is allowed to hurry slowly"

Very wise words and his words has been in the front of my mind ever since, and help me in many situations.

Roy, you have so much wisdom. πŸ™‚
I always look forward to your comments and feedback.

This resonates for me:
"it is allowed to hurry slowly"

So very true and I have added them to my reflection box.

Thank you very much for sharing.
Cassi

Thank you, Cassi I am very flattered 😊
Your posts, responses and trainings are very inspiring and triggers both new ideas and shift of mindset in several waysπŸ˜ƒ

Roy

That feeling is mutual, Roy.

I truly value your contributions.

Thank you.

I would have thought COVID 19 would have given people plenty of time to achieve their goals. Here where I live, the locals have taken their spare time to do home renovations or fix a few things.

At work we have take advantage of this spare time to get the gardens uptodate, painting, maintenance and repairs.

Thanks Cassie for your wonderful blog.

Yvonne, you have done well to use your time so productively.

It is why having goals and plans are so very important.
Congratulations!

Thank you for your feedback.
Cassi

I agree with you regarding COVID time, if you will. I've been a LOT more productive without the distractions and, like you, have welcomed that time. I think that takes a special type of person though.

I've connected with people on Zoom more than ever. It's much easier than trying to plan a face to face get together and less time consuming. However, some people NEED that physical togetherness and are truly struggling mentally. We're all different.

My glass is 1/2 full (which means I need more thank you) too. All we can do is plan our time each day and eat the frog first.

~Debbi

I love this, Debbi:
"ll we can do is plan our time each day and eat the frog first."

And I agree fully!

Thank you for sharing.
Cassi

I am eating a lot of frogs, Debbi πŸ˜ƒ

Roy

You DO have a lot of big stuff on your plate!

Great post Cassi. I remember a Twilight Zone episode where a tossed coin fell on edge and brought good luck to the tosser. Never could figure how he got such good fortune.

I thoroughly enjoy Twilight Zone, Michael!

Thank you for your feedback.
