I grew up in a world filled with the Arts. My Dad was involved in theatre. My Mum created maginificent costumes and award-winning gowns. I played the guitar and the recorder and twiddled on the piano. Our home was always filled with music.

Vincent Van Gogh is one of my favourite Artists and I continue to study him, his lifestyle, hopes and dreams. His quote about small things coming together to create great things occupies a special place in my motivational tool bag.

Impulse Causes Imbalance

In most situations when you act impulsively you will be reacting rather than being proactive. Impulse tends to be driven by emotion and an external response to a situation.

Paying attention to your impulses may be a good way for you to measure your priorities and accompanying behaviours.

Our Wealthy Affiliate (WA) community is a very competitive one. Every day posts are shared about achievements. Members move up and down in rank depending on their activities and involvement.

But, have you considered the time, little things and stepped efforts that went into creating these apparent sudden achievements and successes?

Without knowing it, you could be placing undue pressure on yourself to meet or surpass these achievements.

These successes did not happen in a leap. It took careful, little, consistent steps to arrive at this juncture. The thing is, you have not been privy to all these little steps. All you see is the great outcome or result.

Bit by bit, post by post, lesson by lesson, trials and errors, every single day. These are the little bites that have contributed to eating the big meal.

79 Tuesday, 66 Today

As I have shared before, for the rest of 2020 by number one priority is monetisation of my websites. I am in the phase of driving traffic towards them and this takes immense concentration, attention to detail and time.

There is also the research - hours and hours of reading, listening and watching - that goes into it as I take time to learn from what others have done.

I do not have much time to invest in my WA community during this phase. However, I still try to put in an hour or two everyday (like this morning, from 8 to 9 am, before I head off to work), to meet and greet new members and participate in discussions that are a priority for me at this time.

It is important for me to stay true to my goals and objectives and connected to the support that continues to contribute to my success.

To my surprise this morning, I noticed that my rank was now 66. I had no idea when that happened so I did some quick checking. It is then that I realised that my rank was 79 on Tuesday, 65 yesterday and 66 this morning.

While I slept I had progressed 14 points in rank.

A pleasant surprise and a good way to kick-off the 3rd quarter of 2020.

I am very grateful.

A Puzzle Is Made Up Of Little Pieces

When you look at a completed puzzle remember that it is made up of many little pieces. Building a puzzle takes trial and error, concentration and time.

If a piece is missing, it is never complete and will always look odd.

But, even when building a puzzle, there is a process.

You find your corners first. Then you frame the sides. When that is done you begin to make up different parts of your puzzle that may be easier, like a tree or house or flower.

The fine details you leave for last because they are now easier to identify.

Have a Process And A Structure

Building your online business is no different. Ensure that you have a process and a structure that follow that.

Do not allow yourself to be swayed by the seeming sudden success of others. They have put in a lot of work that you cannot see or do not know.

Follow your own path, follow the training here at WA, take your time and soon, while you are sleeping, success will befall you in leaps and bounds.

...And NOW you're ranking 64th as of this happy Friday Cassi of Troy! So...

It's obvious that you practice what you preach Your Awesomeness.

When you walk into your Clients' offices, they should be playing your theme song:

"This Girl is on Fire"

Bravo Cassandra!

Sincerely...
Charles

You are too kind, Charles. 😊

Thank you.
Cassi

I'm just reciprocating Cassi.

Cassi,
Yes so true, I believe as we walk the road will appear........those very famous words by Niel Armstrong "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" also comes to mind. They had set goals and took it one step at a time Mans first flight by the Wright Brothers at Kittyhawk, North Carolina took place in 1903 - moon landing 1969 = 66 years later!
My base in Europe is in The Hague, The Netherlands and Vincent Van Gogh's paintings are displayed in the Van Goch museum for all to see and enjoy........a legend in his own right.

My favourite artist is Rembrandt van Rijn, one can go visit his house in Amsterdam where he painted the well known "Night Watch" ...........the painting is displayed in The Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam .......current value around $500million.

Stay focused and keep moving forward. Many thanks for sharing the above.

Take care ...................... Johan.

Johan, it is truly a small world!

I have had the pleasure of visiting The Hague many years ago and enjoyed being consumed with great art, music, culture and food.
I LOVED! it!!

You are very blessed to live there.

Thank you for your feedback.

I look forward to supporting your success at WA.

Be safe and well.
Cassi

Very true, it all starts with the small things, or perhaps, "The Devil is in the Details", Cassi!

Well done!

Jeff

Quite true, Jeff!

Thank you.
Cassi

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Jeff

Very great post

Thank you, Dorrie.

Good morning Cassi of Troy!

Once again, thank you so much for sharing your insight and for BEING the change you wanna see in terms of setting such a fine example for all of us via DEMONSTRATING your tenacious work ethic.

One of the thoughts you've just expressed will resonate within my mind, heart & soul forever:

"If a piece [of our proverbial puzzle] is missing, it is never complete and will always look odd."

Why else would a man as talented & wise as Vincent Van Gogh--one of your favorite Artists--slice off his own ear then deliver his bloody severed appendage to a local prostitute on a whim?

Yep! That was the same measured & laser-focused dude who gave us all that wonderful advice you've just mentioned starting with:

"Great things are NOT done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together."

Such is the paradoxical mysterious miracle of life.

I genuinely appreciate your food for thought Cassandra.

Gratefully & Respectfully Yours...
Charles

Charles, thank you for your in-depth insight and feedback.

I always appreciate your perspectives and clearly, you are VERY familiar with Van Gogh. 😊

Genius has its own life and persons like Van Gogh fall into his category, in my humble opinion.

I trust that you are also progressing well with your goals and objectives and look forward to supporting your progress.

Be safe and well.
Cassi

Yes Cassi, I'm pretty familiar with Van Gogh. This painting hung in our living room until the glass cracked...

Very nice, Charles.

Thank you for sharing.
Cassi

Uh huh...

Very nice indeed Cassi of Troy!
