How Can Wealthy Affiliate CHANGE YOUR LIFE And Your Lifestyle?
I am fascinated with butterflies! They came to mind as I reflected on how Wealthy Affiliate (WA) can change your life and your lifestyle.
As a child, I would spend all the time that I was allowed outside running through the street trying to catch them. Not to place them in a bottle though. Instead, I would try to get them to rest on my hand and see how long I could stay still and keep them there.
I would also look for their cocoons and sit for hours waiting to see them change and think about all the magnificent colours that they would emerge wearing.
How The Butterfly Dies
A few times, I thought it would be a good idea to help the butterfly come out quicker by opening its cocoon and not waiting for the process to take place.
Even as a child, it seemed to be so painful to watch. Every time I did that though, the butterfly died and I cried.
I did not understand until I read in an encyclopedia (a book version of Google) that by allowing the butterfly to painfully go through that process, it caused high-pressure blood flow to get to its wings and that is what gave it the strength to fly.
The lesson stayed with me and constantly reminds me that change is violent.
Wealthy Affiliate Will Change Your Life
In WA, you have everything that you need to change your life and your lifestyle.
In just under 2 years, I have moved my income from zero online to enjoying 5-digits, consistently. That is set to grow even more over the next 18 months.
It was not an easy road to travel and it is not a journey that ever ends.
Like the butterfly's journey, it will change and evolve over time.
What made the difference is that I was prepared to invest the courage required to endure the pain and push through (sometimes really hard) to get to each milestone.
WA, like anything worthwhile, can change your life and lifestyle BUT, only IF you invest in yourself and do the work required.
There is no shortcut.
Actually, taking shortcuts may actually hurt you more than help you.
Change Your Script
If you came here thinking that you would find overnight success, change your script.
If you came here with the view that money would flow without investing the time and effort needed, change your script.
If you arrived in the WA community and thought that it would all be done for you, change your script.
Every day, WA reminds me that change, adaptability, courage and resilience are what I need to embrace and use to tap into the creativity and opportunities that are readily available and ripe for the picking.
As members of WA, we are all afforded the very same opportunities.
Some of you will use them to hold on to the comfort of where you are but the real success will only happen if you allow the training, learning and support to flow through your veins and help you to soar.
If you want a different result, you have to do things differently.
You have to change your script!

Change is scary! That is one of the "hidden" laws of nature.
What is the first thing that happens if we are faced with "scary" situations that induce fear.....Run away from the situation.
In some instances, following the instinct programmed in our genes, to take flight will be the best solution.
But it is not the right choice whenever there are difficulties that cause fear and uncertainty.
To handle such situations, we need to welcome change and transform our own MO to an MO that benefits our goals and desires.
We must welcome the opportunity in such situations to change our script and face the challenge head-on, and become more fearless.
The road to success as an entrepreneur and affiliate marketer is a bumpy road and can be scary and painful at certain times, but changing your script to keep pushing through the badlands, will provide you with the results you want!

This post is very much needed for those "sticking to the script"; there are too many who are sold on the idea of making money overnight that they forget about having to put in work to get to that level. I remember it took me six months before I sold my first handmade item, but I still stayed the course because this was something I love.
Let me confess: I have lepidopterophobia (fear of butterflies). Despite me being scared of these insects, I still enjoyed your blog post 😊
