Are You Allowing FEAR To Get In The Way Of Your Success?

To say that I was afraid when I joined Wealthy Affiliate (WA) 2 years ago is an understatement! On a scale of 1 to 10, I was a 20!!

Here I was, a 55-year old, introverted, Caribbean woman who was so damn fed up with corporate life, its weakening morals and ethics and life-threatening demands that she wanted to throw in the towel.

I did, you know. I wanted to throw in the towel and give it all up. It seemed to be such a waste of my time and effort to start anything over and rebuild.

I was afraid that it would all come to naught - AGAIN!

Giving Up Was Not An Option

Although I was fortunate to be in a good place financially, everything else felt broken. I did not know how I was going to create a life for myself and my daughter that was sustainable and that would give me the freedom I wanted to live on my terms.

One thing was sure. Giving up was not an option.

My business relied on the environment in which we live and I had to toe the line to some extent to get business.

I hated it!

That fateful Sunday, 2 years ago, I discovered WA and the rest is well documented here, in WA.

From Fear Of Failure To Embracing Success

I did not share how broken and fearful I was back then but I frequently thought about what would happen to me and my daughter if "this thing" did not work out.

The time and money being invested here meant I had to let go of what work I had offline in the marketplace. For a time, I earned less - a lot less - because I needed to invest in my learning and online business.

As time went by and I started to get a handle on things, I started to feel a lot more confident. I was becoming more involved in our WA community, asking questions, sharing and helping others.

It was in those activities that I found my lifeline and the courage to push through. This is no cliché: I couldn't have made it through without the support I continue to receive from our WA members.

Here, in WA, I learned that I am worthy and my contributions are valuable. Here, we live in a treasured community of unconditional giving.

Here, in WA, I rise!

Do you really know how priceless and powerful that is?

Remember that this journey, like every other journey you have taken in your life, takes time. The quality and quantity of your results though will be a result of your own ability to hold strong and keep moving forward.

Always, ALWAYS keep moving!

Wow, that's very motivating Cassi, thanks for the push.
It's good to know I'm not alone in life's adversities.

It's good you had a vision and a mind set and push thru it all.

It may be a constant battle, that's why sharing on a platform
such as this helps to keep us going,

Thanks for sharing, and congratulations on your anniversary.

Keep up the good work.

Blessings,
Melanie

Melanie, this resonates:
"It may be a constant battle, that's why sharing on a platform
such as this helps to keep us going,"

Thank you very much for your kind words.

Cassi is about relentless refining of the gold inside of herself. She is not satisfied unless the refiner's fire of transformation is blazing hot at the exact right temperature, and she's been through that cleansing fire, again and again, letting it work, and working it.

In two years the fire hardly knows itself, and Cassi knows that without any doubt she will get to where she wants to be.
WA is a team sport, with team support.
Inch by inch it's a cinch, and yard by yard,(with your WA friends) it won't be impossible hard!
Go Cassi Go!

Thanks for the story, Cassi. I enjoyed reading it. I certainly did not realize you had doubts and fears, you came across as strong and driven. I suppose because you had to. I am glad WA has and is working out for you and I enjoy being a part of your network.

All the best.

Alex

Alex, one of the things that WA has helped me with is fully being who I am.
I may say this very often but we should not underestimate what the unconditional support here does in our lives.

What I have been blessed to find in our community is priceless to me and giving back is important.

You are one of the very kind souls that I treasure and value here.

Thank you.

Great post Cassi. I wasn't afraid when I joined. However, I feel afraid now that it has been so long of not earning any money let alone less. I know this will work if I keep going but it is harder and harder when not much is happening.
Don't worry I'm not quitting just letting out my frustration :-)

We are here to support each other, Lisa.

I know you are not quitting. :-)

Keep moving forward.

Very inspirational blog, however, I think you mistyped your age up there. According to your picture, there is no way you are 55!

No, Siobhan, I am not 55 - anymore. :-)))
I am 57 years old now.

Thank you for that!
Cassi

You're welcome, even though I am finding it hard to believe, lol!

😂🤣

True it is, Siobhan.
