300 Days As A Wealthy Affiliate AMBASSADOR - 5 Key LESSONS
When you are at the tipping point so many things seem to just come together. Since the year started, I have been on an upward roller-coaster.
I had no idea that I had hit '300 days as a Wealthy Affiliate (WA) Ambassador'. My last post about this was when I was 150 days in and ranking in the top 10. I did not think that I would have stayed in the top 25 for much longer than that.
But . . . here I am.
There are 5 things that resonate for me about being a WA Ambassador.
1. People Think That You Get Paid and Other Cool Stuff
Just like being in Live Chat and sharing your time and knowledge to help other WA Members, there is so tangible ROI for being an Ambassador.
No WA mug or other branded merchandise and certainly no monetary reward.
You become an Ambassador because you show up regularly to help and support other members. Often times Ambassadors overly extend themselves to the demise of their own business.
It is a role of service.
2. Holding On To The Role Of Ambassador Is A Lot Of Work
Let's face it.
You have to show up as close to every day as possible and invest at least 2 hours of your time to welcome new members and cheer them on with their goals and achievements.
If you have more time to spare, responding to the daily bucketful of WA blog posts and questions will be your next port of call.
Not to mention the private messages and requests for help and guidance.
So, I estimate that you are investing about 14-20 hours a week, minimum to hold on to this cherished role.
3. It Does Not Mean That Your Business Is Successful
This is a biggy.
Being a WA Ambassador does not mean that YOUR online efforts and business are successful. Please make sure that you understand that.
In fact, you are helping WA become more successful by keeping the community engine turning and supporting the learning and development of fellow members.
Remember those 14-20 hours a week?
Well, they could be invested in your business every week. That's about 3-6 blog posts a week right there.
Putting that time into your business means that it will gain more traffic, visitors and buyers.
BUT, your WA blog posts could attract WA Referrals and they could become Premium or Premium Plus members and you could receive commissions for that.
4. You Get Invited To Do Cool Things
I am not sure if this happens because I am a WA Ambassador or because I have been able to implement what I have learned here to create a successful online business.
Every so often I get invited to be a guest blogger, interviewee or featured WA member by other members. That is a blessing and an honour.
It is always good to share and support others and I sincerely hope that my contributions help their businesses grow.
5. You Can Leverage It To Build Your Brand
This, in my humble opinion, is where the most leverage rests.
There is a proviso though. I link it to the implementation of the learning I have acquired at WA and the success that I have achieved because I took ACTION.
Ambassadorship is like walking over a bridge. It elevates you and gives you a much higher presence that you can use to your advantage.
Being a WA Ambassador is a great brand-builder and I use it at every appropriate opportunity. Partha knows that.
I mean, this is where 'Cassi Of Troy' was born and where I continue to collaborate with and learn from some of the most amazing people online.
THAT IS WHERE THE PRICELESS VALUE IS!
So, if you want to be a WA Ambassador, go for it!
BUT, go for it for the right reasons and then, when you get there, squeeze every bit of value out of it as you can. 😉

I think that this post should be read by everyone. It is a very good reflection of what it means and takes to be a WA Ambassador. For all of the 300, you have worn this badge of honour well, demonstrating through your commitment, empathy, sincerity, frankness and action what success looks like on the platform and off. I continue to be honoured to follow, like so many others I am sure, in your gigantic footsteps. There's no doubt much more success is in your future.

My second takeaway is to show up. I actually have learned this in my Carwash Business, "Showing Up and Serving your customers" is the key.

Congratulations on 300 days as ambassador, that's a lot of work and a lot of dedication, congratulations to you. I agree, when I have been at ambassador level I would say it's approximately two hours work every day to stay there. However, the great thing is that at this level you are helping others and being a great help in this community.
I agree with all your five key lessons, very well said indeed.
In the past, I have seen members at ambassador level and I honestly believe that they have not made a penny. They are almost using the platform as a social media channel, this is not what Wealthy Affiliate is meant for!
I definitely believe that when you get to ambassador level you can definitely use Wealthy Affiliate to leverage your brand in a very positive way.
