There is a rotating image in the Catch Evolution Theme that I'm trying to change into my own images, but I can't find where to do so. Can anyone help?
OK, you should be able to change the images
in the header the was there. That is likely the
images you see below.

I chose Catch Evolution as well and I found a thread through google with someone's answer to our issue 10 months ago. I don't know if you are still using it or changed your theme altogether but here's the link. It worked for me... although the pics were cut a bit around the edge. He person's username is authormama, a member of Wordpress. His instructions are at the bottom of that thread. Here's the link:

I'm just starting out and created my first website using the Vortex theme but the title and tagline won't show up. I've looked at previous questions and tried those suggestions

What's your URL?
Some themes do not display the title and tagline. Instead, they show a logo. In your case, it may be the customizable header. If that's the case you may need to put your site title in an image, and upload that image to your header.
If your image is too large for the header, you may need to resize it. You can resize in an editor like Gimp or Paint, or you can resize it right in Wordpress.
*When you upload an image, go to "Edit Image", or "edit original", then go to "scale" and choose your size. The other dimensions will resize automatically.
