WooHoo! A Very Productive Day!

Some of you are aware that I have been stressed out trying to keep too many balls in the air. Sorry to say, I failed Juggling 101!

I wrote a post yesterday apologizing to all my new followers that I have not had a chance to respond to because I have been busy getting my house ready to sell. When I am painting, I feel like I should be writing, and vice versa.

I am behind the eight ball getting the painting done, and decided that today I would do nothing else until I had completed the second coat on all of the upper cabinets.

Happy and Satisfied

I painted for four hours and got the second coat on 14 of the 19 doors. At that time, I was tired and hungry, so I decided that was good enough for today. I can finish the other 5 doors tomorrow, then start on the 3rd coat on the bottom cupboards.

There are 32 doors in all, and I have to finish painting them before I can have the handyman come and put the knobs and magnetic latches on all of them.

The other task I've been focused on this week was getting my yard in shape. Since I'd been so focused on the painting, and we have been getting a lot of rain, I had not been able to get outside and do the weedeating.

Yesterday was a beautiful day, and it did not rain until about 2:00PM, so I got some of the weedeating done and some of my flowers planted.

GDPR Completed!

After I cleaned up my mess from painting and had supper, I focused on getting the GDPR changes made. I used Kyle's post, Marion, and Loes's trainings, and was so proud of myself
because I was able to understand what I was supposed to be doing, and zipped right through it without having to ask anyone for help! Yaay!

About five minutes after I published my new Privacy Policy, I got a notice that it has been indexed in Google already! Wow! This has been an incredible day!

The only question I have about the process is why my new Privacy Policy has a section for comments that I don't want, how I get rid of that, and the menu in the upper right corner no longer has my Privacy Policy there. It is in the footer in a very tiny font and difficult to see.

Guess I'll have to do some work on my menus, and check to make sure I published it as a page and not a post when I get done painting tomorrow.

Another Question

Is anyone else having issues with this post platform? When I bold something, then unbold to go on typing, many times the bold button doesn't work right, and it keeps on being bold.

Sometimes when I use one of the headers, it changes the font size for everything I have typed underneath the heading.

But the biggest bugaboo is that I'm having trouble getting images on my post. That's why this post is so plain. I had a cute pic of a juggler to insert, but after I cropped it, the screen would not advance down to the "save and insert" button.

And now I'm trying to leave the page with all the images I've used in the past, and it won't go away. I had to leave the page and come back to it to get back to my text. Strange. Has anyone else experienced these strange anamolies?

It makes me wonder if it's my computer or the platform.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Well, whaddya know! It worked !

The painting Queen! I bet it looks really nice.

It's getting there. I'm almost done with second coat, and it's gonna need a third one to try to cover brush strokes. Probably not the right kind of paint, but I don't care. It'll look nice til the house is sold, and that's all that matters.

Wow, Kudos to you Carol. Just reading this post as made me tired and has shown me how lazy I have been the last couple of days. But you have inspired me to "get to work". Thank you for that!
Best Wishes
Taianne

Thanks for sharing that, Tianne. With my fibromyalgia, I have to strike while the iron is hot.

Surprised I didn't have a flare up from doing too much yesterday, but so far it's a good day.

Doubt if I'll do as much as I did yesterday, moving slower, but still up and going. Gotta get back into the kitchen and do some more painting, though!

Have a great weekend.

Carol

Great job juggling your priorities and making progress!
Best,
Marcus

Thanks, Marcus. Appreciate it. Carol

Carol, my hat is off to you. Talk about a busy day!!! Congrats on getting things done.
I've had a few problems that you are talking about myself. They usually work themselves out before I can figure out what I have done.
All the best,
Wendi

Thanks, Wendi.

I still have a lot to do today, but WA is not as pressing as it was yesterday with the GDPR deadline looming.

I know my latest challenge is my computer, and not the platform. My cat walked on my keyboard twice last night while I was responding to a post, and now the font type is ENORMOUS, and I don't know how to get it back to normal.

Only about a quarter of the top of a page is visible at any one time, and my mouse isn't moving things around very well, either.

I'm thinking the mouse issue might just be that I need to change the battery in my wireless mouse. And maybe that's why I was having so much trouble getting images on my post last night.

If I use Firefox instead of Chrome, it's normal size. Weird! Thought if I rebooted it would go back to normal, but it didn't. George must have pushed a button that did this.

Anyone have any ideas about how to get back to normal font size?

Carol

Great job! I'm proud of you! When I woke up this morning I didn't feel like doing anything I've literally just been laying here. But after reading this I am motivated to do more! So for that I thank you! Keep up the good work! Oh and it's also been raining a lot here where I live too. Which makes it hot and muggy (which might be why I don't feel like doing anything).

Considering the amount of work you are doing and stress you are under, it's amazing you were able to zip right through the GDPR training without having to ask anyone for help!

I strongly believe everything will fall in place for you Carol, the sale of the house, the internet success building, this is your Year!

Thanks, Kaju. I am still amazed it went so well and I didn't need to ask for help. But since I waited til the last minute, there was a lot of good training available for the pickin'. I also think I'm not as intimidated about trying things as I used to be as well.

As our community choir director says when we sing a passage that we've been working on correctly, "Let's try that again to make sure that wasn't a mistake!"

I, too, have a good feeling about this year. This time next year I'll be settled in my new nest and sailing right along!

Carol,

The painting project you are working on will be a big accomplishment when it is done and you see the hardware on them. My fiance always has a sense of accomplishment when he completes a project right even though it takes more time to be precise.

I understand about getting tasks done and still having time to work on WA.

It has been a busy week running errands for my fiance to transfer to another job and volunteering with my peers. One mother is about to be evicted in a week so I helped wash her dishes and find her a shelter to move into. We also will be doing laundry today and getting items ready to donate to Christian Services.

Another peer is working on burial arrangements for her father. Her father is preparing to be admitted to hospice which has had her in crying spells most of the week. I've tried to keep her focused on her self-care so I'm taking her to the doctor today and probably bringing her with me to see my peer recovery coach after her appointment to see if we can develop a plan where I doing more good than harm.

I'm also behind in responding to people who have followed me. I have a folder in my Google Mail where I put notifications of those who have followed me so I can answer back as time permits.

I still read at least 5 WA blogs a day and provide thorough responses to get in the habit of replying to comments on my website. I still try to dedicate at least 15 hours a week to my lessons and blogging and another 15 hours working towards my Ambassador badge.

I'm still too new to answer questions so I have been collecting them in my folder in Google Mail to respond when I learn the answer. I do try to stay in contact with WA members that are near my level to talk shop about our lessons. I have made a few good friends so far.

I talked to my psychiatrist yesterday about how WA has given me motivation to complete tasks in a structured manner since he increased my dosage on medication last month. I'm showing great improvement from my mood swings and stabilizing better than was expected.

It has been a very productive month. I'm so excited that I have saved money to go Premium in June. It will be a honor to show my dedication to WA.

All the best,

Louisa

Congrats on your progress, Louisa. Carol

Great work Carol. As for the posts part, no I have not experienced that myself

Thanks, Dave. I've just had the issue the past couple days. It was especially bad with images tonight. I was able to get my header and signatures on, but nothing else. Wasted a lot of time trying, then just said," Oh well, I gotta get this published so I can go to bed."

I think if it continues, I'll ask SiteSupport to look into it.

Carol

Are you being notified when your posts are indexed? I seem not experienced that except for the indexing of a website.

I got a notification about my last post "Dancing in Boots the day after I published it, and just now got one for my Privacy Policy, so I guess the answer must be "yes"!

Maybe I used the wrong word, though. I think you're right about the website being indexed. And is the right word "ranked" for posts? I'll have to take a look at that post and see what it said. Carol

Like Carol, I also get notified when a post is published. I make sure of this by using the Jaaxy Keyword tool, which is an invaluable resource

I don't think you used the wrong word, I only wonder why I'm not being notified when my posts are indexed. Dave has seconded to your experience.

Thanks. Just thought I might have got it wrong...don't see that notice that often! Carol

Lovely blog Carol, you’ve had a very productive day, big up to you!
Yes I’ve had the same problem with the bold text, so glad it’s not just me!
Have a great weekend too
Best wishes
Heyday

P.s. if you’d like a little leisure read:

I saw the notice for that, and had planned to read it when I have time. I'll take the time to read it now before I head to bed. Might help me start to chill out and think about getting some shut-eye! Carol

Thankyou Carol for your support. Hope you get re-energised for another big day tomorrow, here at WA or finishing off at home

You're welcome. Thanks. I hope so, too. Would LOVE to finish the painting tomorrow! But more likely it'll take me 2 more days to finish.
