Too bad I can't be there........I love to paint!

Have a great holiday weekend. Take a break every once in awhile.

My best,

Laurel

You, too? So does Marmar. Sure could use both of your help to finish getting my house ready to show! Carol

Good luck with everything, it can be a challenge but also a fun adventure!

Tried and True

Elaine

Thanks, Elaine. Taking a break from painting, but hope to finish the top cabinets' second coat tonight. Have all but 4 doors done. My kitchen has 32 doors, so it has been a challenge to say the least to have the time to get it all done. Not going anywhere this weekend, so hope to get it all done. Carol

good luck with the painting

Thanks, Steven. Got the second coat on all but 4 of the top cabinet doors done today. Taking a break now, hope to finish the all of the second coat tonight so I can tackle the last coat tomorrow. That one should go faster since it will be mostly covering up brush marks and hopefully smoothing it out a bit.
Carol

you're not going to sand between coats? :)

If I was going to be staying here, I wouldn't even be painting them because I prefer woodgrain. But I had some renovations done last summer before I decided to move, and the new cabinets needed to be finished.

I had originally planned to try to match the existing stain for the new cabinets, but when I decided to sell, I said to heck with that...I'm gonna slap some paint on all of them so they all look alike! No sanding before or after!

My job of painting the cabinets would have been much easier if I had sanded them first, though. The paint would have stuck better.

But chances are that whoever buys the house will be replacing the cabinets and putting in stone countertops, so I'm just getting it done as fast as I can so it will show well.

Carol

I understand. I'm sure it will look fine.

Thanks Steven. Hope so.

Not sure how new I am. But I hope you kitchen turns out lovely.
All the best,
Wendi

Thanks, Wendi. I'm pretty sure I've already responded to you. I think everyone I owe responses to are from this week. Carol

Good luck with your move Carol. Hope all goes smoothly!

Thanks. Carol
