I've been trying to use Google keyword planner for ages but can't get past the bit where it forces you to set up a campaign and put in your credit card details. How do I get pa
if so then click on the spanner and go to keyword planner
mine automatically opens in the above screen.
Hi, thanks for your reply, but no I get this page which forces me to put a web address and create a paid campaign. I cannot get past this
to a page to add my credit card details and set up a google adwords campaign. Basically I have to run an ad to use the keyword planner. I've seen loads of people asking the same question on the Internet, but can't see any answers that work for me
i'm in the uk also - but maybe due to the fact i created an account before the last major changes i don't have to enter the card details.
you could enter the card details and you should get to the above screen - just don't setup a campaign - go to settings (the spanner) use the keyword tool.
it is all going to change soon again, so we are back to the same problem
I rang their helpline in the end. I'd somehow ended up their old platform instead of the new Adwords one. They were incredibly helpful and helped me set up my account without adding a credit card, so i now have the page you showed me earlier and can use the Keyword Planner tool. Thanks again for your help
weird that you were on the old platform.but glad you are now sorted.
hopefully you can now use it.
as i say the platform interface may change in the near future when it becomes google ads, but at least you have your account setup.
