Dressage or Not Dressage

I just learned from another source that "dressage" has too low a search volume to be profitable. If that's true -- is it? -- how can this interest of mine be a good niche?

That is crazy..... dressage is an extremely popular equestrian sport . It is popular enough to be an Olympic sport.

Many dressage riders also tend to be affluent - so it is not like you would be making a living off of selling $1 hoofpicks.

Lord knows how much we spend on our horses.....

As a horse person, the challenge is going to be digging around and finding affiliate programs that you like. For example, I recently discovered that I can not sign up to be a Drover Saddlery affiliate, but they sell some of their items on Amazon.

One last comment, without going into a lot of detail, I don't think you would really want to promote saddles online.

Feel free to email me if you want to bounce any ideas off of me.

Hi Sondra, Just posted my first article on my website Versatiledressage.com The title is Understanding Dressage; Its Principles. Wanted to make it Understanding Dressage; In Search of Dressage Principles but was informed Google may think that's too long. Please have a look. I'd appreciate any questions or comments. If you want me to review anything of yours, please let me know. Carole

Still can be, think of all the products that are associated to dressage.

Those are things your dressage site can market as well as the content that can be built around such products. As well as the whole dressage sport itself.

Dressage is just one aspect of things. Check out this site: https://dressagetoday.com/

Thank you for this. I watched some of the videos associated with the Dressage Today site.

Doesn't a niche have to have products associated with It? I guess there aren't too many people out there searching for a 10K dressage saddle

Don't let the price of something be your deciding factor. I'm an affiliate for a service that sells between $75,000 and $250,000 and I sell a few of them every month like clock work.

The biggest myth online is people won't spend big money - well they do, and they do it all day long.

But with that said - I'm sure there are all kinds of products, services, books and so on that people buy all the time.

I just saw your comment about the dressage saddle.

In my opinion, I personally would not choose to focus on saddles. Especially expensive ones. People purchasing an expensive saddle are going to want to sit in it and possibly have the opportunity to try it out on their horse.

Maybe consider things that might be useful for training, nutrition, and around the barn or horse trailer, winter gear..... Don't be afraid to think out of the box.

For example, the other day I was reading up on portable generators and snow blowers.....

Don't you believe it.
A few years ago I was promoting Combine Harvesters at £60,000+ at 10% commission and I made at least one sale every month.

I always advise people who ask me to go for the high end products.

You go for it simply because you wont know until you try.
Enjoy your Monday.

Thank you, Robert

Thank you, Sondra.

Good heavens. What kind of service is it you sell that costs $250,000? Sure people spend money online. The question for me is what is it that they spend money on?

I thought I just replied to you comment, but it looks like it didn't get posted. Let me try again. What service is it you sell that people will pay $250,000 for? I know people spend money online, but my question is for what?

No probs, onwards and upwards.
Enjoy your Tuesday.
Robert
