I have a local friend who owns the rights to a drone service for the entire USA states and I am exploring the possibility of helping him set up an affiliate program to promote
A situation like this is why I think we should be able to send a message to all of our followers. I have spoken to a few people who have this niche. I will try and find them for you.
Mark
Thank you Mark - I could change my niche selections in the Feedback and Comments platform here and may be able to find out that way. idk
Rod I appreciate that. Actually Rod we have at least one in our WA family that is in a drone niche. And I am sure there are more. I see you started here just a few months ago so I wouldn't expect you to know them. Thank you.
I specifically am looking for someone in our community here that is promoting drones as a niche. A google search will reveal much but will not tell me if they are part of WA. Then again a telltale sign is the WA banners that almost all of us have.

Hello, if you actually need a recommendation of a good theme to use, let me suggest the Magazine theme - Colormag.
Israel Olatunji
If still need one or actually need one; I actually do yes. I would not have asked if I did not actually need to pick a theme. Is the theme Colormag a free WP theme?
I use Ephemeris and really like it, it's very mobile friendly. I know there are plenty of others that would be great too, but I've found that this one has a little bit different look than others, so it works for me!
Janelle
I use Weaver Xtreme theme. It's the most customizable theme I have ever found. If there was ever anything I wanted to do that I couldn't do using the free theme, I would upgrade to the premium version in a heartbeat. But, so far, using the free version and custom CSS and a few plugins I've been able to make my websites look exactly as I want.
Awesome thank you Marion. I would love to take a look at some of your sites. If you're not comfortable leaving the URLs in the comments here then would you be pleased to PM them to me?

When someone writes a comment and we reply, do our websites send an email with the content of the reply? Or is there a plugin for that? Is there a lesson on that? I may have mi
Thanks Eden --- I knew I should have asked you first. But just as well because there are many in this thread wondering too.
Go in your website Dashboard here at WA and search in the plug ins for Comment Reply Email Notification" :)
Fae
I use a small plugin called Comment Approved Notifier Extended that puts a checkbox below where they enter their comments that they can choose to check if they want to be notified of my response to their comment. That way they have the option to or not to get a notification.
Carl
As far as I am aware they will not get a notification that you have replied. I see on many sites that you can check a box to get a notification but I think it requires a plugin of some sort.
Looking in to it has been on my To Do list for a while but I don't really want any more plugins to be honest.

He says 'no' unless we use a plugin.
The plugin is so they (commenters)
can subscribe to comment updates.
Hi Carl
It could be possible tobe something that is ticked in the email settings.
I get an email when someone has left a comment to moderate it.
Tania
Commenters have no way of knowing unless we give them the option (through a plugin or otherwise).
The easy way is to use a plugin

Here is my question again and an explanation. Do I have to register each website with an affiliate program or are the links free to use on all of your domain once you have regi
Since they ask for and often view your sight, I would assume that they are only approving you for that sight. Most places like to know that the sight is a good fit for their product.
Logic tells me that you would confirm the answer to that question with each affiliate program or network you join. Would you want an affiliate working for you, without being able to check up on the actual site where your name is to be promoted?
Hi Carl
I'm not a computer "nerd" as they say but my logic tells men that you would register as an affiliate an the just pay yearly fees for each new website. Surely you need a domain for each website.
Don't know if my answer is right but it would be interesting to know if it is.
God bless
Naomi
It seems to depend on the network or program. I have had this same question when I went looking for where to add another URL with different programs I am working, so i contacted their support team. Some expressly said that you do not need to register every website, and can set up tracking by individually naming your campaigns. Others do want each website registered, some because that's how campaigns are tracked, others because they individually approve or deny a campaign based on the content/quality/traffic of each site. Every networks and program I work with has a support email for asking this type of question. Quite a few even have dedicated affiliate managers to help you through issues like this. When in doubt, reach out.
So far just very good guesses here with this question;
Anyone else out there know the answer for sure?
The answer to the question is Yes and No you can, depending on who you are registered with.
Once you are registered as an example, at ShareASale or even Linkshare your link is good for any of the sites offered there. When you are applying to the merchant you would give them the website which you would be promoting their product from so they can make a decision if it is a good match.
So far, with each program I've applied for Affiliate status, one of the require items is the website URL. I think each website would need to be registered with each program, because they want to be sure a link will be beneficial to them.
I'd like to hear the answer from someone who knows for certain, but my guess is YES.
Great question. Based on my progress in the training, I would think you have to register each domain.

This is my very first training here (well second but first in a series) and I want to know if I should continue the KISS Series. Keeping It Super Simple for the starter member.
Carl. I think your training is right on. I think newcomers will find it helpful. Presently, you learn these things as you go. Your explanation will fill a need. (I still don't know what the "request update" button is for.
All the best.
- Joe
Ah yes the Request Update. I will include that at some point. That is simply where you can suggest edits or updates to the post or training. Never used it but that is what I gather since when I go to write more training or to edit it tells me "no updates suggested" or requested. Thank you Joe.
Shame on you, Carl! Not only do you get points for earning credits for feedback and then asking for feedback, you should do it through the channels that Kyle has given or ask for it on the page that Kyle gives the lesson on.
Sort of kidding, sort of not kidding.
I'll take a look at it tomorrow, though. Right now I might not do very well. I am getting over this flu, I hope, and I also had one of my infusions which blurs my vision for about 18 hours. (I have my hybrid laptop zoomed way in to read or write this and I would like to give you feedback from the point of view I have with normal vision.)
I hope you are doing well.
See you soon,
Anita
I am sorry to read you are not doing very well. ;0(
I kind of jumped ahead in doing this training because I haven't seen any of Kyle's instruction of creating training or the impact of feedback. I do know it puts you at the top of 'the leader board' on the Activity Dashboard and By being there I was hoping to give more newbies an opportunity to see it. Also, the more helpers that know it is here then the more likely it is to get shared with them. Do you believe my motive is purely altruistic? ;0)
As a rookie it'd advise you to do as much training as you can ask the training I have done has been helpful so far.
I am new also, I plan to stay on the path of the certification course. This program was invented with everything put together. It requires certification and then new boot camp or if you are in a hurry the boot camp 1st, but certification for sure. All of the other training is in addition to.
Tell me what you think of this training. If you could please. :0) KISS training - Navigation Options
Excellent idea Carl, I learned something new here. I look forward to seeing the next installment. I know we've all seen this before, but seeing it again from different perspective really reinforces the retention. At my age, I need all the reinforcement I can get. Thanks.

Browsed up to Page 7. Great one, buddy. Good reference to use when coaching newbies. I will bookmark this one.
Thanks for creating! Valuable stuff. :)
Carl,
I've been a WA member for about 3 years. I like you KISS series idea and want to encourage to continue with it. Sometimes I forget how it was when I started here. Your simple explanations cut through the fog and intimidation of being a newbie. Thank you for the work you are doing. Great job.
