Success is Ever Flowing

Think of success as a mighty river flowing forever to it's enlarged destination. It rages and it pushes and it moves. It takes the path of least resistance. It is powerful. And contains a whole lot of potential. This is success.

Obstacles Abound

Now think of the many obstacles that hinder you daily. There are time pressures. For most of us there is family, full time work, financial pressures. There are fears and concerns that all this time and money spent here is not going to pan out or pay off. Obstacles.

Fake it Until you Make IT

This is not good advice. And yet I have heard many over the years suggest that this is what you needed to do. I understand. They are trying to encourage the entrepreneur to continue to push forward in spite of obstacles. They are encouraging them to build the image that they want others to see. And that somehow this will bring success. I do not like that model. I'm sorry. Fake it tell you make it only brings trouble and disillusionment.

The Naturally Powerful Flow of Success

You do not have to fake success to make it. Success is ever flowing like the mighty waters of a river. This thought came about as I remembered my Father-in-Laws occupation when my wife and I first met. He worked for Cosolidated Hydro in New England. A company that has changed ownership a few times I think. Dad's job was to keep the turbines spinning that would generate huge amounts of electricity. Free power. Free money. Just for the taking. Success is like that.

But often his job was to rake the racks. Let me explain. Brush and debris. Turtles. And from time to time a body. (yes -- sorry -- true) Brush and debris. Logs. Garbage bags. Pallets. You name it. If it could float it would sometimes make it to the racks and would be pushed hard against the racks blocking the flow of success there at the power plant.

You understand my analogy here I hope. Dad would have to rake the racks. He would have to rake it until they were again able to make the turbines spin powerfully enough to create that unseen source that powers all we call technology.

Rake it Until You Make It

I do not think that faking it until you make it is the best approach. As I said success is ever flowing. I think you need to rake it until you make it. You need to push through those obstacles. Yes indeed don't give up. But don't NOT give up by faking it. Obstacles in the way of the flow of success have not stopped the flow. Sure it may be hard, The obstacles may push hard against the racks. But just the fact that you have some pressure there and some force is somewhat of proof that you have some power working against. Power that can be working for you.

Lack of knowledge and learning time may be an obstacle. Rake through that. I began getting up earlier and working on my lunch breaks to rake through some of that. Costs of learning and living may be an obstacle. Do what you have to in order to rake through that. I began working overtime and my wife began selling on EBay. (doing very well BTW) Do what you have to in order to rake through the obstacles.

Success Will Come if You Don't Quit

I have said before that sometimes you may have to change a niche. But you can look at the success that others have had and find hope. The online opportunities abound. Affiliate programs are becoming more and more and more abundant and user-friendly. There are no ends to the multiple streams of income you can produce. There are no limits online. There are very few real obstacles.Adding to your present niche can be as easy as asking how. Success will come if you do not quit. Don't Quit.

So that is my little motivational spiel for you today.

Rake it Until You Make it! You Can Do it!

Yes, Carl!!
I never like that expression, fake it 'til you make it, either!!
I do, and have always wanted preferred, "Act as if..." .
I do like the "Rake It" !! That implies action and more actions...
Not whirling around in illusions and fantasies of "What if...?"
Now, that I've put down the paint rollers...I'm free to "Pick up, my rake" !!
I always, appreciate your encouragement, Carl!

Thanks Carl,
We just have to keep keeping on

Yes indeed. You will make it if you continue! I am SURE of it.

Hello Carl,
I couldn't agree with you more! Also, consider this:
There are only so many hours in a day. The time you waste faking it could be the time you use to become better at what you are doing. Just saying.

Thabo

I couldn't agree more with that thought as well Thabo. Thank you dear friend. -DCarl
