While Creating a Money Machine Expect Detours

It is easy to get bogged down with detours and distractions. A new opportunity has come my way and as I begin to build a website to be the home of that new opportunity all the work I have done for the past several months has been put on hold. My current website health is holding so that is good, but the habits of daily tasks have been delayed and the faithful visitors to my site have not heard from me in a while.

(If that is you then please know I will be back to it soon.)

But here is the thing, we must not think of this Wealthy Affiliate journey as either a detour or a distraction. Through this platform, and the great people who share their knowledge here in posts and live chat, we are developing the skills to build a money machine. Many money machines.

You choose the niche and then you create the stories and posts that interest others and help in some specific way. Sometimes that way is helping others to do exactly the same thing. The most important thing, when distractions and detours come is to not forget from whence you've come. That kind of sounds poetic huh? Lol The most important thing when detours come is to not forget from whence you've come.

If you have established a plan. If you have begun with the end result in mind. If you know what it is that you wish to accomplish. And if a detour has slowed you down. Don't forget. Establish your foundation in your new niche and then get back on track. No matter how pressing and urgent the new opportunity may seem, if you do not have a certain level of consistency, you will be slow, very slow, in reaching your goal. I started out this journey saying I have a five-year plan to be financially free and working online from home full time. Now with what I know and with new opportunities I have reduced that to a very ambitious three year plan.

Detours and distractions will come. Opportunities will present themselves. It is up to us to decide if the detour is in line with our long term goals and then (if yes) to allow them for a time. We must decide if the tune up is needed, if the upgrade to our plan is merited, and honestly sometimes you have no choice and have to give attention to your tires. Otherwise, you'll lose traction when the rubber hits the road. But again, we must not forget from whence we've come. And most importantly we must not forgot those people that have journeyed along with us and encouraged us along the way. We must not forget those people who are counting on you to be an authority in your chosen niche. We must not forget that our main goal must be helping others.

So in closing. Detours will come. Distractions will come. Needs will arise. But keep your map and compass handy. Don't throw out the blueprint you have written. Keep on keeping on. Get back in the race. And I will see you at the finish line.

Onward and upward friend,
Kind regards always,

-DCarl

I hear you Carl; starting with the end goal in mind is the golden nugget here. Blessings!

Thank you Edwin; I would have never had the courage to begin if I did not have the end in mind. And to you my friend; be blessed brother. We'll talk soon. -DCarl

It will happen at one point or another.

Indeed it will.

Your blog resonates with the speaker Les Brown who encouraged not to give up. Things happen, but it is a life. All the best:)

Things do happen. And life is like a freight train screaming to its final destination. But if we do not give up we will reach our goals along the way. Thank you Nemira for your comment here. Kind regards always. -DCarl
