I can't get this sorted. Have i broken my site?

If your website will not upload files (images), it could be a huge number of possiblities. It's hard to narrow down.

First, I'd disable all plugins and see if that fixes it.
Then, try a different theme, see if that fixes it.
Double check you are uploading .jpg or .png files, not other non-image files, or videos.
Also, check the size of your files. If you are taking laptop screenshots or iPhone photos, they may be too large and just timing out.

My bet is that you have a plugin which is causing the issue.

Let us know how it goes!

Sometimes, it is how it's saved. Try saving as JPEG or something more compatible that WP will accept.

I know when I scavenge the web for photos for my site, I run into files that are not accepted by WP, or they have water marks on them, so I cannot use them.

Hope this helps,
Aaron

Thanks Aaron I'll give that a go, I have tried with a pick I have used before with no luck. 😭

You're welcome. Sometimes websites like Pexel and Dreamstime and Unsplash will try to save it as Google files, which are not compatible with WP. They need to be saved as JPEG before WP will accept them.

Hi Mark, it could be a problem with the picture you are trying to load from your computer. Try another picture before contacting Site Support.

Hi there thank's it is all the picks that will not load, site support have been no help.

They could be too large. Have you photo shopped them to downsize?

Do the free choice photos in Site Content load?

Hi - how are you trying to add it? In Site Content or in WordPress? Are you getting an error message?

Hi Diane. I'm trying to add in WordPress but not getting a y error message.
Regards Mark

And where are you trying to upload the media from? Do you have it saved on your PC for example?

Hi yes from my laptop picks

I'v just gone blank feel like i hit a brick wall. Please help.
How do i add my adsense to my URL.

I think this training could help you get your Adsense set up properly: Keep in mind, once you add the code to your header, it'll take a few days for the ads to show up.

I see it's already answered! All the best, Mark!

Hi - the easiest way is to install the "insert headers and footers" plugin. When you have activated it you will see two boxes. Paste the code in the top box, the header box.

You won't see any changes on your site. This piece of code simply allows Google to inspect your site first before they approve you. They will expect to see lots of content and daily traffic. It can take up to 3 weeks before you get a decision.

Great thank you Diana, I have bone that and now I have a header that requires Elementor ?
Regards Mark

I have the code but don't know how exactey to add it to my URL?

maybe this can help

Please How do i add an affiliate tracking code to my website ?

It depends on what you are trying to track. Depending on which company you work with, and what metrics you are trying to track, there are a variety of ways to do it.

Can you give us more details?

Hi Nathan i have the affiliate tracking code to add, Do i need to add it to every post i add on my website. The code i have is so they can track customers that i send from my site. ?
I think that i must just not 100% SURE.
Thanks Mark

If you have a tracking code from a specific affiliate company, they should be able to tell you the best spot to put it.

NORMALLY, if you need tracking for a whole website, you'd put the code in the HEAD of the website. You can see the process here: Start video at 4:30, and insert your tracking code into the head of your theme code.

It's possible that you have something else to insert, and I'm not understanding properly. If it's just your affiliate links to track clicks and sales, you can do that like any other link. Let me know if one of those works.
