Im starting to see more traffic go to my blog here on WA but I'm wondering what the advantages of that are? From my understanding we can't promote outside affiliate offers. Sh

Higher ranking - creator rank is one of the more difficult ones to boost, so blogging frequently (with quality) will boost it faster.

Blogs should be (well, they CAN be, I should say) a window to your experience here, your personal success story. Or, perhaps you post inspirational posts to help other members stay on track. We're all here to help each other, so I suppose the benefits are that you can help others and others can help you.

Oh, and ranking. Did I mention that? :P If you reach Ambassador rank, there will be some unique benefits (apparently) in the coming months.

thanks its always good to hear other perspectives on these topics. i've started adding a post every few days but i guess i just really was wondering what they point is. thanks for chiming in!

Does anyone here do keyword research prior to starting a new website? For example if you were looking to start a website on say "purple elephants" but find via research that it

Hello,

I think you make a very good statement here! (and question...)
I hope more people will reply...

Personally, I would go for the grey elephants and I would inform myself and try to find some inspiration for more articles...

The searches of other people you cannot control, but your own knowledge and experience you can control, so I would try to change the thing I can control...

Grtz,
Bert

thats my thoughts exactly. I just wonder if for the sake of making affiliate/adsense monetised sites if it would be better to start with a domain that may potentially get far more searches to start with rather than trying to optimise SEO on each article.

I've heard also that if you can buy an expired domain that google will rank that higher as they see that its been used previously and gains some advantages from that.

SEO is an appliance and not the actual goal... ;-)
I mean, SEO is important, but the most important is that you have quality content and if that means that your SEO is not perfect then I would prefer to have the quality content with the great domain name and stuff like that...
And where possible adapt things to apply with SEO as well as possible, but keep it natural...

It is good possible that an old domain name can have advantages, but to find the right old domain name available for your niche... Good luck with that! ;-)
I would not spend too much time and effort on that... I would put that time and effort in creating great content, at the end, that's what counts...

Grtz,
Bert

Hi Guys i've started running a campaign on Bingads to get more people infront of my affiliate link, Im wondering if anyone here has had substantial success with this type of re

I tried it before(quite recently), spent about $120. Had probably around 20 conversions, a few filled up their profile and zero sales.

I've always seen it as a numbers game. Did you build any sort of list so that you can continue to keep in touch with your members?

No I didn't really build a list. I just sent them to so how my "how to..." Posts which eventually directs them to a review page or wa sign up page

Hi.
Are you sending people to your WA review page or just straight to WA sign up via your affiliate link?

The latter would not work as well as the first.

At the moment i've been testing a direct page of mine. Do you mean your review of WA on this site or on your own site that you created?

I mean a review on your own website.
Your visitors need to know what WA is about and why it is so great before you send them to WA.
Chances for conversions are much higher then.
Depends on the review of course, but you can always work on your review and improve it until you get more sales.

awesome advice. I've also been thinking about setting up a squeeze page for catching email addresses so that i can talk to customers about WA via email and offer updates that way.

An email list is always a good thing to have. :)
