4 Months Ago I Signed the WA Dotted Line

All I can say is:

Wow!

What a ride!

When I first came to WA I have to admit that after signing on with a yearly membership I had a bit of a chip on my shoulder (as a matter of fact I still do), about the payment of a yearly membership coming straight from a starter member, but that is not what this blog is about. And the other is not a problem that I have with the platform, nor with the thousands and thousands of members, so for many it simply does not matter.

And as of today, it has only been 120 days so far that I have been here at WA. During that very short period of time I have become online buddies with a quite a bunch of you, are getting to know many more of you, and look forward to talking, learning from, helping, teaching, and sharing tips to help our businesses proposer in the near future with the rest of you.

I have shared some things with some of you that I have not discussed about it many years. It has both helped me and the person I was PMing at the time. I have strived to be able to be as helpful as I can be within the platform and look forward to the opportunity of helping many more.

One individual I actually regretted offering my help to them, from reading their profile and what they had written I interpreted that they were in need of a swift kick in the behind to get them back in gear and motivated to work on their website. Being a prior pusher (a term used for an Ironworker’s foremen) of 15 years I did just that, their response was that my PM to them was “It very hurtful”, my intensions were by no means to be hurtful I was trying to offer the help I felt they were looking for which was outside motivational drive.

I still have a copy of that PM there posted question,

and there profile page to remind me that what I assume is going on, is not always what going on. So I learned from the encounter, for this I am grateful to this individual (I am sure if they read this, they will know exactly who they are) because a learned something twice that day that can’t be taught in a lesson in some classroom.

Sometimes the way you read something is not the way the writer intended it to be interpreted. So for the most part now I try to think of the positive side to everything I read now, unless there are some of those funny characters (#*%^) replacing letters within words then I know I am getting the true meaning of a sarcastic remark.

Since I have a prior online business I do know a thing or two about consistency and persistence which I would have to say are probably the two biggest and strongest trades that any business owner will benefit greatly from having, also compassion and caring for your customer most likely should come in as a strong third and fourth.

Because most of my time is spent online I have been able to advance in the rankings rather quickly, not quite as fast as one or two of you. But let’s just say I am in the rankings with the elite helpers of the platform, not at the top but comfortably close enough to where if for some reason I feel I just had to have or see that little trophy next to my profile name I could spend more time online to get it but I choose a life balance instead.

By the way I visited this website much earlier back in 2008 or 2009 sometime around there. But I guess. I just wasn’t ready yet, I didn’t feel the camaraderie back then, if I had only started the training it might have been a different story but I didn’t even stick around and start the training.

This time, I could see the light, and the concept of what was going on, people were sincerely helping each other solve problems, give support when it was needed, and gave guidance toward the direction or path that would be best to take, even in some real sticky situations and they did it calmly and confidently.

Within the third day of the trial membership I built my own web site, had started publishing content for it, and had a sense of pride. Within 3 days of being here I accomplished something that I had tried to do online by myself for years, but either I would start something then I didn’t have the time or patience to finish it, or there was hidden costs once you really got into it. Or it was something that didn’t live up to what was promised, or just a straight up scam.

I refused to settle for paying for another website that was not my goal, this time around I wanted to do it from scratch, pick the theme, the plug ins to use, and of course have the final say on how it looked and reacted with my visitors. This website was my second to last choice, if after visiting the site this time if it didn’t work out WIX was going to be my last resort. Needless to say I don’t think I will be visiting that sight anytime in the near future.

I am glad that I decided to give WA one last final try, the concept of the community offering what is happening or what they are doping to make progress in their business is priceless and that in itself is worth the membership not including all the other fringe benefits that follow behind the great community support.

So I would like to thank each and every one of you that has given me the opportunity to help you in any way that I could, for those that have helped me in more than a dozen occasions when I was lost, and for those that will continue to help other and seek help for them selves.

Together we can do this!!
