What I’ve Learned Today!
Last Update: May 1, 2020
I spent a productive few hours yesterday and again today going through the first two modules of my copywriting course. Understanding and learning all about researching niches, creating offers and creating urgency.
So much to learn and I found it surprisingly fascinating. I thought I'd write down what I've learnt so far. This course is packing in a lot, so I'll just give you some Cliff notes.
It turns out there's a lot more you need to do before you actually start writing than I had previously thought. But it's intriguing learning how to put all the elements together!
Niche research has always seemed a bit of a dark art to me, so watching a video of how to do it, live right in front of me was quite eye opening.
Learning where to go, how to interpret what you find and the ‘why and how’ to use to your results. That was worth the $1 on its own!
Next, I learnt how to convert the results into an irresistible offer… that was even more eye opening!
I've seen it being talked about before in different ways, but it’s always challenging to learn different approaches to applying classic methods?
Then it was on to my favourite topic of psychology. I was more in my element reading about creating urgency and how and why to set your price points. I've seen a few pricing methods over the years, but I definitely learnt some useful new ones here and why they work.
I know that fear of loss can be the best motivator to action, but now I understand several new methods about how to apply it more ethically and effectively. Very useful.
An extra bonus that appeared at the end of the second video was how to create believability in your offers. That's something I've never thought about before, but it certainly falls into the psychology bin. Oh, did I say that's my favourite topic? 😉
All positive and intriguing information and I know it's made me much more confident in understanding what I'm doing when writing for my websites.
This is certainly such an intrinsic part of online marketing as we all learn here at WA and I now have an even more in-depth understanding of ‘why and how’.
I shall be encouraging my website list to be joining me on this fascinating learning journey and I would be delighted if you keep me company along the way.
I shall spread my wisdom wings and hopefully fly high during the rest of 2020!
Take care, stay safe and keep smiling, Sue 😊
PS: If you do want to join me on this journey, Wisdom-Wings is on my profile page, but I'll have to take the Ferrari page down at the end of today.
