It May Not Be "Now or Never," But It Sure The Heck Is "Now!"

I was standing on the porch, looking over the lake about 3 am and I was overwhelmed by a thought: "Why didn't I do this years ago? " Given the progress I've made so far, if I had, I know exactly where I would be right now: financially independent.

Before I could even spell business, I wanted to have my own business and make a lot of money so I could buy my momma a house. I had high hopes. The world was going to be my oyster. I would be a man of the world.

But then, life stepped in. I got distracted by trying to make a living. And I wasted a lot of time, too. My dream was pushed farther and farther back into the recesses of my mind. But it never went away. Now and then I would pull it out, caress it, reassure it, and tuck it back away.

The dictionary defines "vicarious" as: experienced in the imagination through the feelings or actions of another person." All the consequences of my procrastination I offer you as a vicarious experience. I can save you a lot of time:

  • checking out countless "golden opportunities
  • waiting for the "right time"
  • doubting that you can really do it
  • wondering if you deserve it
  • wishing you had done it sooner

WA has opened doors for me that I thought were closed forever. The longer it takes for me to walk through them, the shorter the time I will have to enjoy the fruits of my labor. It's now.

I agree now or never. I have nothing but time on my side I just can't seem to get passed getting my site right . I know it will take time but, I will make it work. Good luck and many blessings.

What in particular are you having trouble with? That search bar up top is an invaluable tool. Whatever problem you're having, somebody in our community has had it and solved it. If you type a question about your problem in that search bar, dozens of blogs on the subject will pop up. You can also just put it out there. Somebody will respond. We're all here for you. If I can be of any assistance, you have but to ask.

We all have a past but we must think about our
future and what we will do.
I don't think that we wasted time when we didn't do
certain things at a certain time, it was not procrastination,
it was simply not the right moment.
Now it's your time so take advantage of it and make it
happen.

To your success!!
Ingrid

Thank you, dear, but procrastination is alive and well. I agree that there is indeed a time for everything, but we have a lot more control over out time than we care to admit or take advantage of. Some times its not the right moment, but some times, we just blew the opportunity.

I love seeing that big ol' smile of yours pop up on my screen. Keep it coming.

Thanks for your great words!
It's true that it is better not to miss the good opportunities.

Have a nice week!
Ingrid

Absolutely right about everything you just wrote...esp the last sentence, I am trying to make up for lost time and on a race before I lose the ability to enjoy what my fruits at the end. Thank you for sharing and reminding me my mortality :)

Well done! I am so impressed.
You will go far, even if you think you're a tad late (which you aren't, by the way). :-)
All the very best,
L.

Thank you Lisa. I love the quote on your profile page. It speaks volumes about what kind of person you are. Words to live by.

Aw shucks, I'm touched. :)))))
What a lovely thing to say to a complete stranger.
Yes, words to live by indeed!
I think words are wonderful, where would we be without them?
See you on the flip side.
L.

I'll be there.

Yes, I think you will be.
Go well,
L.
