Nice collection of instruments!
Congrats -- glad you will be here for another year. I have to do my re-up tomorrow.
I am a sucker for Guitars, just picked up another one from a coworker, took me two years to talk him out of it. A one-off custom guitar.
I am glad I had the funds to create this. Now to create bigger and better things with the help available at WA.
The new addition to my guitar family is in the pics above, the Schecter California custom bass guitar. I have been all over the internet and can not find another one like that one.
If I bought a new bass, I think I'd try a fretless. Have tried one a couple of times, and it's really nice to play. Also surprised myself. My friend played a good 12-bar tune and I did walking bass without any frets. I was so amazed that my fingers knew where to go even though there were no frets. Pretty neat!
At the NAMM show back in 2014 at the Warick booth, four dudes played Come together by the Beatles, one guy had a 6 string fretless, and oh my goodness, I got sucked into watching them for half-hour. was a trip, and awesome, a mini jazz jam session with four bass guitars taking turns doing leads like a jazz jam session. Amazing sound the fretless has. Chet Atkins also played a fretless Ovation I think with Jerry Reed, another great finger picker. Oh, so amazing to watch those two.
