9 to 5 Sucks

Working from 9 to 5 just sucks for me, I am so used to making my own way now that when I found myself in a pickle with money I had to go get a job. Oh my goodness, being the new guy everyone at the new workplace is of course got me at the bottom of the ladder, the pecking order of things had me last. Last in lunch even, I was getting my lunch at 3 pm or 15:00 hours. I got there at 8 am. I am used to eating snakes every two hours, apples, leftovers you know just small things but good things too.

Made the others mad there and I was not allowed to eat untill lunch, I"ll tell you what buddy that for sure was not working out very well for me.

lol you eating (SNAKES) l know you meant to write snacks.
You right after being your own small boss not taking orders from anyone then to start again down the ladder taking orders maybe from someone who could be your son/daughter really suck.
keep your head up

Yes, I type much faster than my fingers want to. And I get most of it backwards. And Snakes taste like chicken, or so I am told.

I am in El Paso Texas now, I was flown out here by a company that has a bit more value when my time is concerned.

Thanks for the reply.

LOL! I saw that but it didn't register "snakes." I just saw it as "snacks" misspelt. I've done a lot worse that gave people some serious laughs because if the way it comes out sometimes. Even worse when I try to talk and my words don't come out the way they are supposed to.

I can strongly relate to Cali. I hated employment. Now I'm disabled. It is that employment thing that brings many people into WA. It has always been that way. Most of the time I staid on the bottom rung of the employment ladder (that I always hated hearing "climbing the ladder to success," that slow, gradual way that employment offers.)

I'm still not doing very well but I am very happy to be away from employment. Occasionally I still do manual labour for money, because I have to. At least it's not regular employment.

I'm seriously thinking my writing isn't going to cut it anywhere. I've had my heyday in WA and now reverting to a less-visible journey in it. I am optimizing my Buddy List and removing the vast percentage of my content, blogs, comments, and anything that isn't helpful to the community. When I am done, about 5% will remain. I am well-advanced into that mission. It is something I feel needs to be done. It has been nothing less than a huge challenge to locate all (or most) of my comments, but I am confident that, when I'm finished, I will have put my money where my mouth is and removed my share of useless content from the platform.

When I am making a full-time income from the Internet, then I will be able to write on here again, and have something to say. I will have about 50 folks that I am following tops. I have already removed over 500 from my Buddy List in order to filter out the content I can't use.

I will continue to follow you Roseline, and I think I will keep Cali as well, because what I have found about him is encouraging, and he doesn't abuse the system, is honest and has his ducks in the right row. If he is no longer here, I would regretfully unfollow him as well, but I won't until I find out for sure. These are the kind of people I want on my Buddy List...

They are here to work on their campaigns.
They don't make the social of WA top priority.
If they are already successful, they truly have something to say.
They are experienced.
Else, they show in early stages that tendency to become so.
They do not abuse the system.
They are not worried about their WA Ranking.
They are showing their progress.
They handle criticism well.
They are sweet, happy and deal with life maturely.
They are honest and transparent.
They are not as gurus or celebrities.

I realize this line-up doesn't fit many people on here, and I realize that not everybody is here for the same reasons. Other than being ugly and gaming the system, everybody has their place here. The list doesn't condemn anyone, just reflects what I feel I need from WA, because I need to learn many of these traits myself. These are the people I need to surround myself with.

I need this for encouragement. I need it to learn. I need it for mine own success.

Do not think I could do the 9-5 anymore always preferred a shift pattern keep working at this and you will be doing your own hours

I am working on more than one form of income, that's my main goal with money

good for you and wish you all the best with it

This is an awesome discussion. I do not want to see another 9 to 5 anytime soon.

I did 19 hours last Saturday, but now I cruise. What I did in 19 hours with this company took one week with the company I worked for before. One day to make it happen then we are on a schedule.

Two crews instead of one man, planing and not killing your crew are blessings. So glad I moved up.

You just have to love those ridicilous rules, whahaha I love it when they think they own you. I call it slavery in the 21st century.

And when some 19 year old kid is telling you to jump, ya just way old. I have the ability over the years to work with many personality types. However when a youngster is proud of what he does and lets that overtake him, gets old fast.

Yup, that's why most of us are here I'd say.

This is a tool to freedom, time freedom

I couldn't agree with you more. You will soon be your own boss soon. Hang in there...
Linda

There is a penthouse or 3 out there waiting for me.

Truth. 9-5 or whatever random hours you work at a job are not good. Freedom rules :)

Yes, Freedom rules.

I am so for the I work because I want to, not because I have to. However if need be I'll do what it takes.

I agree, gotta dump the day job. But gotta keep paying for everything too. All ya' can do is hang in there. Let the frustration of the day job drive your ambition to succeed online. Best to your success. :)
Joel

I am making it happen, with Gods blessing and gifts.

That's just not nice. I'm down to two days a week at the regular type job. Can't wait till it's no days. It'll happen for you, hang in there. :)

I am not on that job no more, just had to raise some money for my workers. I was getting paid less than I pay my guys but I had to keep my word.

Well, good for you. Thinking of others is certainly a benefit in the long run. :)

Hi Cali, I feel for you! I escaped the 9-5 for almost 2 years now and I'm trying like crazy to never go back. Maybe one day I will have to but I'm hoping not. Keep plugging along here and building your backup plan.

Sorry, most of that post did not get posted. I am out in El Paso working Disney on ice. Just love it!!! I was flown out here and I am just keeping the ice skate worthy for the performers. I had to take the 9 to 5 thing to pay my workers for the contractors on the week job I was doing are behind in payments. I was stuck, a man wants his pay and I had to keep my word.

Now I am having fun and working at the same time. Way way cool!!
