I want to target "creative thinking" on my website and promote various puzzles, games, books and art/craft supplies and/or programs. Narrowed or too vague..?

Creative thinking is part of the Self Improvement market -

So with that being said creativing thinking can be your niche and it can be narrowed down further to the products that are associated to creative thinking.

But I would try and find higher paying affiliate programs in addition or even to replace Amazon.

Thanks for the answer, identifying this as part of the Self Improvement market is good help. I was getting caught up in research and confusing what kind of audience I'm targeting.

With this niche obviously targeting people who are searching the internet for knowledge, direction, creativity and innovation, etc., I found myself with Amazon for a vast area of all types of different yet applicable products to my topic. Which leads me to simplify my question.

Is it a good or bad idea to start my first website on a topic that I would realistically like to recommend a few differing products to support some of my ideology to my readers? I mean affiliate marketing with multiple companies at the get go.

It's ok to have multiply affiliates on your site - as long as each one is specific to the product. So when you write your content that affiliate aligns with your content. As well as aligns with your overall niche.

Also you don't want competing affiliate - meaning same sort of product 2 different affilaites.

Ok, great. Thanks much for your time and help. Much appreciated!
