Setting New Year's Goals

Here it is New Year's Eve again. Funny how the time flew by so fast, even though during election season it seemed to drag on forever. Whew, glad that's over with!

I've never been too fond of making new year's resolutions, even though I used to try my best. Usually it was the same year after year, resolving to lose weight, exercise more, save more money, etc. Every year it was the same old thing, by mid January the resolutions had been forgotten, the pounds were still there and the bank account was empty.

Setting Goals

For 2017 I have decided it's time to try something different. I am setting goals this year instead of resolutions. I am going to write them down and do my best to stick to it until I reach my goals. I was inspired by the following quote:

"Make New Year's goals. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. This helps you do your part. It is an affirmation that you're interested in fully living life in the year to come." Melody Beattie

2017 Here We Come!

I know for me that I will do best if I keep it simple, so I am writing down my main goals relating to my online business. I believe that by sticking to my objective, 2017 is going to be the year that I will finally start changing my life for the better.

• I will write and post content for each of my websites 3 times per week.
• I will follow at least 20 new people per day on each social media website.
• I will post a new blog on Wealthy Affiliate at least once per week.
• I will complete the WA Bootcamp and Certification courses within 4 months.
• By this time next year I will be making enough money from blogging to quit my pat-time job and devote full time to blogging.

So you see, I don't have sky-high expectations or unrealistic goals (at least in my book). But I do believe that slow and steady will win the race. By sticking to a schedule and working daily on my goals, maybe by the end of 2107 things will be even better than I ever dreamed of.
