XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress 3.3

When I clicked on 'rebuild the sitemap' I got this message: 'There was a problem while notifying Bing.'

Does anyone know ho

The problem is related to the server your site is hosted on here at WA.

WA hosting has started to block all outbound requests that plugins make, they will allow selected plugins outbound requests once they look into the plugin to make sure it's not going to cause problem.

This is currently only being tested on selected servers at the moment.

So right now outbound requests to BING must be blocked, the only way to fix this error is contact support and ask them to look into this.

We've had a lot of issues across servers with wordpress plugins that try to connect to remote servers. Essentially, what happens is that a remote service may go offline (ie. a service that verifies someone paid for a plugin), and then their website goes down. Or worse, requests to their site hang and create a connection backlog on the web server, causing the entire server to go down. In addition, people who have installed insecure plugins on their sites get their site hacked into, and the intruder injects code that makes connections to remote servers (again this can bring the entire server down if the remote connections hang). For these reason, we are implementing a policy to block all outgoing connections, except for those that have been preapproved. For dropbox and wordpress we are comfortable with approving, because they run very reliable services. We are working to have exceptions to all wordpress servers in our firewall. We will add dropbox. For plugins that require an activation, we need to be reassured that this is a one-time activation and that this activation code is not checked every time the wordpress site is loaded. Since we host so many plugins, if we allow them to connect remotely, there is a high chance that one of those plugins will have a service outage at any given time, and this potentially means outages for people's sites. We cannot have our own hosting service dependent on the performance of 3rd party services unless we have a high confidence in the availability of those 3rd party services.

The reason this is affecting some sites and not others is because this measure has not been rolled out to all servers yet. We are testing on only a couple servers first and refining our firewall measures before rolling out to all servers.

Cheers Craig. I'll drop support a line.

I got in touch with support Craig. They worked their magic, and it's all OK now. Cheers.

Good stuff, thanks for replying and letting us know.

Give it a while - Bing have the problem. Try again later

Cheers!

Does anyone know anything about Instant Payday Network? Are they connected with Empower Network in any way?

Thanks.

I wrote a review about this here http://freehelpmakingmoneyonline.com/scam-or-legit-instant-pay-day-network

Thanks, I'll check it out. Cheers, caden

Hello Caden,

Instant Payday Network, from my basic understanding, is a training base to show you how to get paid from signing up with free trials / making referrals for free trials. You are given "credits" for the free trials you sign up for and the number of people who sign up from your referral link. These credits can be applied to things like free gifts that you can get once you have enough to " cash out."

( Free trials may be for coupon services, memberships, etc)

The money that you actually make comes from signing up for these free trials for others. There is a community where people request for a person to complete a number of free trials for them for a price ( and done by a specific time). You can contact that person, and both sides can decide whether they want to follow through with the "business relationship." ( but you have to complete free trials and get credits , on your own, first, before you can be able to contact anyone for "business."

The relationship between Instant Payday Network and Empower Network is a marketing group that advises any member, that wants to join their group, to sign up for both of these opportunities. But if you found out about these opportunity at different times, then there is no relation between them.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks so much Micaela, that was very helpful.
I'm looking for something to cover the WA membership until my website starts bringing people to WA.
Thanks again, cheers, Caden

What's the minimum age for membership? Thanks.

You have to be old enough to signup or have your mother do it for you. LOL J

Is it too complicated for dads?:)

I was wondering if there is any special qualifications for female blondes, the last one asked me if Wealthy Affiliate was a government related program, I was lost for words, but I said I don't think so.

Oops, thin ice :)

We have a new member here just sign up the other day and he is 10 years old and like Rich said our youngest is 8 years old:)

That's so great WA doesn't put an age limit on all of this.

This a very safe site and if I have a young child I don't mind putting them here as well:)

Yup, 8-to-80+ as far as I'm aware. It's one of the reason why Members are careful not to use "bad" language, I'm always having to quickly edit my instinctive profanities out. :) R.

That's awesome. Once I get going more, maybe I'll get my kids on here. I can get them selling all these Rainbow Loom bracelets they're making. :)

Wow!

You have to be of age to sign legal docs.

It depends on a number of things, however the youngest Member I know of is 8-years-old, under parental supervision of course! I guess they'd need to be able to register a PayPal account and meet the terms of any affiliate programs or other earning techniques so in most countries it would be 16-18 years old if they wanted to act "independently". :) Rich.

Thanks Rich.

IDK if there is a minimum age here but most affiliate sites require people to be 18 or older

Cheers, I thought I read somewhere it was 14 - but I can't remember where!
