There is no reason that you cannot get ranked using Squidoo or other mediums for a Local marketing. If you've got local keywords and your Lens focuses on local content then it'll rank!

This is maybe a cool offer for offline businesses to feature their brands then. Squidoo has an vivid community so I can see some benefits for them. Setting up a Squidoo lens should be worth around 200 bucks I guess, similar as to setup a FB page.
