Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone uses a website (paid) for photos to post on their blog?
I know there are a million out there and I currently use free images fr
Hey Mike, Loes's list is great, but you can also use google images with free to use, no attribution : Free Images for a Website - Free to Use, No Attribution
You can specify free or royalty free images when searching google. A good paid site is Shutterstock. No membership. I think you pay for each image separately. It depends on size and resolution. You shouldn't need more followers than 72 dpi for a web posting.
I see they gave you my list

Great pictures!
There is a # of sites that offer photos free. I've used a few (found on Google under "free images").
But what I found most useful was searching on Google for what I wanted free images of ( say dog food) and scrolling down what appeared until I got to "free images of ............".
Hope that helps. I know I got a ton of images.
Bill
Here is a great compendium from Loes a foremost expert here. Free Images, free photo's, free cliparts, free pictures
HI,
check out these:
http://www.freeimages.com/
https://pixabay.com/
https://stocksnap.io/
as I know these are free to use even for business purposes. (must check)
ps: as I know there are many flicker photos under "creative commons" too.
Just google: Advanced google image search. Then put in the keywords, go to the bottom and click, Free to Use, Even Commercially and you can find ton's of free photos.

Hello, recently I have had a few emails from WordPress that is telling me so and so has registered to my site.
I'm guessing this person subscribed to my blog?

Mike,
Do you have an opt-in page or landing page to capture subscriber in your website?
If not, then they are bots (like my case) because normal humans can't access your website to register themselves. Make sure to uncheck the option 'anyone can register' in your WP dashboard - Setting - General.
If you are interested in Email Marketing (Getting subscribers to your website), then you can check Jay's WAbinar here: Getting Started with Email Marketing 2016 Note: I personally feel your website should have some content first to persuade the visitors subscribing to your website.
Hope that helps :)
Cheers,
Ferdinand
Thanks for the lengthy reply Ferdinand!
I do not have a landing page, but I do believe I have a subscriber box, or at least I did. I have unchecked that box tho, although the subscibers emails all seem to be legit humans haha.
Not sure if you looked at my website, but I have over 30 posts...how much more content should I have before I look for subscribers?
Thanks,
Mike
You can have subscribers at any stage honey, it is a great way to build you email base and if you want to notify them of updates or news letters you can...it works really similar to subscribing to a channel on youtube xoox
Check this out will you Theme warning ! - you all need to read this asap
Hi Mike,
Sorry I meant that reply to be a 'general condition' and haven't looked into your website. You have a nice looking website :) I believe with that post amount, you are ready to tackle email marketing now.
You can start by sending weekly (or daily, or whatever frequency you find confident enough to maintain consistency) summary of your posts to your subscribers, so they will turn into loyal readers. :)
You can also offer some products in your email, but if your email marketing provider prohibits affiliate marketing (like Mailchimp), it is wiser to send them to your product review page instead.
Cheers,
Ferdinand

Hey everyone,
In another attempt to monetize my site I am trying Google Adsense.
I added the code into my WP backend but I don't see the ads.
I was wondering if anyone
I do what Marion said, and also use a plugin I really like called "Advanced Ads".
You can put all kinds of ads, not only Adsense.
I use a text widget Adsense Without a Plugin It takes about a week for Adsense to approve your website.
Once you put in the field from the plug in it, will ask for the code. Then Google Adsense will find it in one or two days. Then it will appear on your site pages that you placed the field for it.
I use Ad sense box. (WP Plug in)
Udinra offers an alternative plugin for consideration on some of the AdSense drawbacks. You just have to mine the good stuff out of the ads that clutter the site. Described here:https://udinra.com/blog/udinra-adsense-alternatives-plugin-for-wordpress

I know it takes time, but how much time?
I have 10% trust so far in just 2 months with 52 indexed.
Was wondering how long it took some of the more seasoned WA members her
Hi, Mike. I am just curious. How do you know that you have 10 % trust and 52 indexed? Can we see it anywhere? I would have liked to know more about that.

When you click Site Manager, your website details are provided.

I knew how many urls were indexed because of google analytics, but your site health is under site manager, which is under the blue site rubix box under live chat. Once you're there you can view your site health and it will tell you where to improve!
I have to ask again. I see Site Trust and Site Feedback. But when I see Google Ranked I see 100 % but I can't see my index. What does 100 % mean?
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites
Click Site Manager.
Follow the line where it reads "Log In Now."
See Site Health?
Click VIEW.
You'll see your details.
Thank you for answering me again. I have done what you say. I have been there. I just can't see my index. Is it under Google Ranked? When I click on google.com, I come to google and I see my pages and posts. But that just means that I am indexed doesn't it? Maybe I just don't understand the whole index stuff.
Hey, you are doing everything right!
You are indexed, to find out where your pages rank you can use sites like http://whatpageofsearchamion.com/
but if you are just getting started I wouldn't worry about this just yet.
Also I knew I had 52 URLs indexed to google because I installed google analytics and there are a bunch of options that will break down your site traffic and what not.
This training will show you how How to Install Google Analytics Using the All in One SEO Plugin Hope this helped!

Mike helped me out with this question. I can visit whatpageofsearchhamion.com.

Thanks, Mike. I got it now, and thanks for providing me with so much information. I've just started and it not so important now but I like to learn about new things all the time.

Basically this is an "it depends." Your site will start to build more trust as it gets older. Plus you'll need to publish great content and reply to your readers' comments.
Thanks for your help!
I always reply to comments and have been posting information about health and fitness, hopefully the trust gets better!
