I am just wondering with so many Amazon Prime members out there reading our sites... will we still earn commission if our reader/buyer logs in to their Prime account?

Have a look what they say:

1. Qualifying Purchases and Qualifying Revenue

We will pay Standard Program Fees described in Section 3 of this Fee Statement in connection with “Qualifying Purchases”, which (subject to the exclusions described in this Fee Statement) occur when:

(a) our customer clicks through a Special Link on your Site to an Amazon Site; and

(b) during a single session, which is measured as beginning when our customer clicks through that Special Link and ending upon the first to occur of the following: (x) 24 hours elapse from that click, (y) our customer places an order for a Product, other than a digital item sold under the name “Amazon MP3,” “Amazon Shorts”, “eDocs”, “Amazon Video”, “Amazon Software Downloads”, “Game Downloads”, “Kindle Books”, “Kindle Newspapers”, “Kindle Blogs”, “Kindle Newsfeeds”, or “Kindle Magazines” (a “Digital Product”), or (z) our customer follows a Special Link to the Amazon Site that is not your Special Link (a “Session”), any of the following happens:

i. our customer purchases a Product via our 1-Click feature, or

ii. our customer purchases a Product by adding a Product to his or her shopping cart and completing the order for that Product no later than 89 days after their initial click-through of the Special Link, or

iii. with respect to Digital Products, our customer purchases such a Product by streaming or downloading it from an Amazon Site; and

(c) our customer actually receives and pays for such Product.

For each Qualifying Purchase, the corresponding “Qualifying Revenue” is equal to the amount we actually receive from that Qualifying Purchase, less any shipping charges, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, service charges, rebates, credit card processing fees, and bad debt.

I hope so!!

Yep. Absolutely.
Regardless of their membership status with Amazon, your 24 hour cookie has now applied to them. Pretty sure this is covered in their terms of use or policy pages as well.

thank you. I was just uncertain if they clicked through to Amazon and then closed those pages and later logged in to their Amazon Prime membership if those "cookies" would still apply.

I kinda thought they should, but I guess in the back of my mind I thought they might not click through to Amazon from my site and just remember later to go to Amazon... in that case there would be no cookie. :(

As far as I know, cookies last for 24 hours and apply to every purchase they make within that time frame, including items you didn't even advertise.

I'm using the theme Accelerate and it has a 4-picture slide show on the home page, which I love. But now I need a 5-picture slider. Does anyone know of a theme with more slider

Hiya Darla, I use Meteor Slides and seem to have pretty good luck with this plugin!

thank you, I will check that out.

I have been checking out this slider and I like it on my posts... I like that I can link the slides to other pages. But I want to include it in my theme and/or have it appear on my home page. I have copied the code and tried to insert it thru editor but I don't know where to place it in that file... do you know where to place the code so it appears on my home page?

Ey there Darla, I'm not sure where you would insert the code. Unfortunately I'm out on the road for a while and a long way from my pc. I know there's quite a few people here that use Meteor Slides... maybe if you posted this specific question ya' might get some help sooner than I can get back to my pc. Wishin' I could help ya'!!!

Darla, check out this link and let me know if it helps ya' any... https://goo.gl/AM6zCQ

There are many free slider plugins available. Listed here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/most-popular-free-wordpress-slider-plugins/

I checked out soliloquy and like that I can add that to any page or post... I'm going to keep that in mind! I am looking for one to add to the home page so I am going to have to go thru that list some more. So thank you very much!

You're welcome. Sliders and visuals are great foe home pages, so look for plugins that incorporate those.

I have an idea for a website that would be using the woocommerce plugin eventually and would like to know who is using that plug in successfully? I would appreciate the names of

Hi.

I use WooCommerce on a couple of sites.

I use Primo from CyberChimps for one, and the Crave theme for the other: http://wordswithlove.com

I've another site in progress, that uses the Kingdom theme.

I love WooCommerce - I find it so easy to use - and although I have had to use a couple of paid plugins (from WooCommerce) to provide some additional functionality (eg. to accept WorldPay payments), out of the box, it works really well.

I hope that helps?

All the best, Mark

I'm about to download Woo Commerce, Mark. Now I know where to go for help. Your "Auntie" is about to become a PITA. LOL

Hello BusyGirl, I am setting up a new website and it will use woocommerce plugin. It is suppose to be one of the top plugins for ecommerce. Sorry I can not give you a link yet?

Sorry Darla, can't help you out there. I'm sure someone can. :)

I am confused with the text widgets on the side bar to make into promotional products. I added the hoplinks from Clickbank but they came out as just text and there are no graphi

I'm not that far along yet. Sorry

HI most of the links in CB are just text link -e.g. 'Click here'. I would just download an image of their product to say, my pictures file (use.jpg) then upload it to my site's post or page. If I wanted to move it to my widget, I would just got to text mode of the page where I uploaded the image to, then copy and paste the html code of the image to the widget. To copy and paste the 'click here' link, I would use a separate widget , below the widget of the image. If you check the site it would appear as if they actually came from one link. Don't forget to delete the image from the post/page, if you want it in your widget. Hope this helps.

You are so right Jen. I had forgotten that method of adding an image to the widgets. Worked perfectly. I was trying to add an image to my side bar and had forgotten how to do this until I came across the question from BusyGirl. Your answer Jen to BusyGirl reminded me of how to add that image. Thanks, and also I am following you now. BusyGirl hope you understand how to add that image to your side bar now. Contact Jen090 for more details, Jen has it down pat.
You Girl's have a great weekend...........Frank

On the CB product page, look for a link that says "see affiliate promotion material". Clickbank product owners usually provide graphics.

If they provide the full code, then you're good to go because you can copy the full code which includes referral ID and image codes.

However, I recommend that you download the graphics to your computer and upload to the media library so you are not relying on the product owner's hosting.

As for the steps, I prefer to have the WP post editor do the coding for me, so this is what I do:

1. In Visual mode, add the image into the WP post editor (as if creating a new post) but the only item in the post will be the image.

2. Add the referral Clickbank ID link to the image, using the chain link in the post editor. Make sure to tick "to be opened in a new window", and center the image, if needed.

3. Switch to text html mode and copy the html code from the post editor and paste it into the widget.

The training below will help to achieve the same thing in a different way but doesn't show how to add the referral link:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/using-widgets-in-wordpress/4-the-text-widget-adding-images-to-the-sidebar

And this one by Leo is useful for adding widgets generally:

Do I have to make my own graphics to promote Clickbank products? I don't know where to find the banners or little ads (like we can get from the WA affiliate pages where we can u

For promoting opt in page is it necessary having our website ?

Hi, BusyGirl!.-You may have 2 questions here which is good to clarify. 1.-The banners and illustrations and even "solo ads" and sample E-mails for the product itself you get from the Site you are going or are promoting [not from Clickbank]. Like you do here at WA, you check the Menu Bar of the Website you are promoting or want to promote. Find "Tools" or Banners or Solo Ads. Click that and it will take you to the page where they are located and give you all the data, link and "code" you need to use them.
2.-The second question appears NOT what you are looking for, but it refers all to Clickbank's images, solo ads and banners, but only for THE CLICKBANK Website. Unless you want to Promote Blickbank itself, these I believe are NOT what you are looking for.

3.-One "disadvantage" of promoting the Website of the product you are working with is that YOU'LL GET PAID A COMMISSION THE FIRST SALE, but generally in following purchases by the same buyer do NOT generate commission for you. In addition, the Opt-In -name of the buyer - is retained in the List of the Website - does NOT go to you. The remedy here is to PROMOTE from your own site, have an Opt-In capture form in it and go.

BusyGirl, I hope I helped you a bit. Take care and I see you are doing well, ranked 246 already! Take care, my friend!

You can add Clickbank links to your posts. I add relevant pictures from other sources, like Pixabay. I am not aware of any clickbank banners.

Nice job!.Wealth is like sea water the more you drink the more thirsty you get. ( A Sehocenhacer)

When you are at the clickbank site, there is a link to the vendor's site. Click on it. Many have banners
John

You can ask the vendor on Clickbank if they have images for their products/banners so you can use. Most would be happy to send you images as you will be helping promote their products. Some Clickbank products have their landing pages. Just write something about a particular product and put your affiliate link to connect to its landing page. Text links are favorable to Google someone said, so I'll go with that.

I partly explain this in reply to your other question:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/everything-wordpress/how-do-i-make-widgets-with-graphics-to-promote-products

Having a product review page is the most effective way. This is covered in the lessons covering product reviews.

~Jude

It depends sometimes on which ClickBank product you choose. Many are just listed and it is up to you to promote it in your own way. eg. a review. Others have the tools for you to use.
Here are a couple examples.
Listed in their Home & Garden : Gardening & Horticulture section
Product #1.
Aquaponics 4 You ~ 7.39% Conversions a description and you promote your own way.

Product #2
7250 Landscaping Ideas - $56.77 Per Sale + Backend
a description and then a link titled Vendor Spotlight.
When you go to the Vendor spotlight link, they provide you with the tools to promote such as banners, text ads, email follow ups etc.

They do answer some affiliate questions in their knowledge base.
Hope this helps.

Good to know. I haven't explored much, but I didn't know that and knowing is a good thing... =-)

I would suggest using royalty free images and having them link to the product and then use text links to add some more places for them to click. I wouldn't go over 6 total links between images and text links, but that is coming from an annoying ad site place. =)
