Hi is there a way to set a feature image in a blog post so that is shows up on the front page blog roll but NOT on the post itself.

At the moment when i set a featured i

You will have to remove the image you are using at the top of the post. Let the featured image be that image.

Its ok I've sorted it. Took a while to find it but adding this

.page-header-image-single {
display: none;
}

into Customise-Additional CCS
does the trick.

Glad that it is now sorted
Have an awesome day

I guess .com is better than .net? Also I was told hyphens are a bad idea therefore can you look at the following please.

Not using this domain its just an example but wh

I would play around with a few phrases connnected with dogs that are fun and create your own dog food blog with com brand... they are out there... and available, just a thought...

Hi-.net is usually reserved for networks and .org is for non-profit organizations. Try to find a .com that works for your needs.

Hi - if you were considering a .net, simply because the .com was not available, then that's not a good idea.

If the name is already in use, it may be copyrighted or the site owners may not be happy that you are using the same name. There could also already be existing social media accounts with the same name.

And if people are trying to remember the name, they will automatically assume its a .com and you could lose traffic to the other site. The same reasoning applies to using hyphens.

Hi, preference is words no hyphens or numbers and a dot com.

Dog Food Reviews is one I would have chosen however it is a premium, GoDaddy valuation at 13k if wanting purchase it today.

Don't advise with dogfood dot or net as dot com is taken. or dog - food dot com.

HOW TO CHOOSE A DOMAIN NAME

You can use Namemesh dot com - look in SEO & MIX columns

You can also use leandomainsearch dot com, you input a word and it gives you another

And godaddy valuation tool to find a memorable name.

However nowadays domains are not so affected by SEO vs writing quality rich content with good choice of keywords, latter of which would rank you in the search engines.

I would always go for a dot com domain name vs dot net or dot org as people's perceptions when they start typing they would typically assume it is a dot com.

I would not include dashes and check if the domain is copyrighted, trademarked and ' or registered to an established business.

You can use Jaaxy fo find something suitable and along the metrics would also search if the dot com domain is available

Look for searches (avg.) above 30 and competition (qsr. ) lower than 100, the lower the qsr the better.

thanks a lot, much appreciated.

You are so very welcome.
