try installing jetpack plugin.
It's quite a nifty little statistic tool right in your dashboard.
Sometimes it comes already installed ( you just need to activate it ) but if you don't see it in your plugins go to plugins and add new, search for jetpack and install and activate.

USe google analytics. Free and comprehensive.
Yeah...Jetpack was awesome. Hate to have to deactivate. Wonder why they don't allow? It's Wordpress?
Its because of the stats. It is too data intensive on the servers apparently and auto updates can crash your website completely and you won't be able to recover it. Do a bit more research and you'll see it's not all its cracked up to be.
If you are looking for statistics of how your website is ranking (I think I misunderstood your query), that will come in lesson three. When a website is new it probably is only going to get views from WA members as you put it our there to them. It will take a bit for your keywords to rank in google. Hope that helps!!
Mark - have you started the "certification courses" lessons? They will answer all the questions you are going to have, including this one. Level one will get you going on niche analysis.

You need not have to rush into all as you will be able to learn at your own pace by following the trainings at WA.
