I've been going back and forth on this one for awhile. Basically, my site is relatively new - and after a few months, I had almost zero comments (except for spam).

How do you activate comments on page you already setup? Been looking everywhere for it. Its a non post page
Left hand menu when in wordpress dashboard, mouse over pages then click all pages to show a list of pages on your website.
Mouse over page name you want to change will show options underneath, click quick edit and you will see a tick box called allow comment roughly in the middle of the screen
Hope this makes sense, only just woke up :)
I too would activate them for particular pages but you certainly want comments. I didn't allow comments when I was first building a site and it was one of the biggest mistakes I made. People rarely comment now - even though I get a lot of visitors. I have a feeling they think they shouldn't.
Hey Austin,
Yes you certainly do want to have comments enabled on your blog. One of the best ways to get ranked is to have people comment on your content and engage in discussions. This ads highly relevant content to your pages and keeps the content fresh.
Just make sure that you moderate and approve comments before they go LIVE on your site. You can then sift through any spam and trash them. Approve comments that are relevant to your site and make sure you reply to them thoroughly. The more engagement you create, the better your site will rank.
Hope this helps.

I activate comments on specific posts rather than throughout my entire site. You can always request an "exchange" of comments in https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/getting-started/please-give-me-feedback-on-my-website :) Rich.
