Has anyone seen this niche before?

Hi guys! I recently finished the end of Course 2 within the training and, as per Kyle's advice, thought I would create a blog post discussing my progress thus far!

So what is my niche?

My niche is essentially focused around beginner card magic- a sort of hub that directs people to the right places to become magicians, rather than offering training- although this is something I may delve into in the future.

Since I have a lot of passion for this, and also experience in blowing money in this field, I thought could perhaps succeed through giving others advice on how best NOT to follow my example. I think my worst spending spree was over £300 on card tricks in a month or so! Never a good idea, take my word for it!

I am finding it to be an interesting niche as I haven't seen many (if any) other sites dedicated to the same idea- although I may have just not looked hard enough. One challenge that comes with this (somewhat?) lower competition niche is a lack of affiliate programs that look legitimate and don't lead to sites that might diminish the reputation of my own website. Images are proving slightly tricky to find- but this shouldn't be a huge problem, all things considered.

Creating content for this niche is very fun, as I have a lot of memories and experiences in this niche to draw back on, so that is definitely a positive!

I was wondering if any of you have ever encountered a website specializing in this niche before, and if you have any advice for me regarding this niche?

If you do want to check out my site, it's http://thedailymagician.com/

Thanks,

Danny

Hi Danny!

Looks like a low hanging fruit niche with possibilities according to a Jaaxy search using your verbiage.

How is Amazon for products in your niche? What about books and videos you like? How about creating a youtube channel and show how you do them there? Sell your expertise by creating videos that show how to actually do these card tricks.

Just some thoughts.

Hi Howard! Thanks for the response.
Yes that was my initial thinking too, the only problem being that some searches seem 'too' specific- under 10 searches a month etc., but I am sure there are plenty more to target.
Amazon have most of the products I've searched for and as of yet, it hasn't let me down, so it is proving useful at the moment.
I have begun exploring the books and videos route, but I am hesitant to give actual tutorials. The main reason for this is that it is generally considered pretty rude within the magic community- as people have spent a lot of time and money creating and advertising their own tricks. If I were to show people how to do them for free, I would be effectively robbing them of an income. That is my current dilemma!

And thank you for the extra help with keywords- I appreciate it!

Can you charge for them without ruining it for the magic community? I get the honor among magicians, that's cool.

I think the safest bet would be to come up with my own tricks- that way it's my own 'secrets' being revealed, and if I have any problem with it, I can delete things further down the line. Thanks!

Cool, press on and keep us posted!
