OK...Last year I had to cancel my subscription to WA in-order to pay with paypal. This year I am wondering if I have to do the same thing. I checked my Paypal account and it is

You can renew now, and take advantage of the BF deal.

To answer the timeline.

Official the Black Friday deal ends on Cyber Monday.
But last year, due to the enormous success it went on for another 4 days. That call lies by Kyle and Carson.

Thanks Loes :)

Hi Robert, as far as I know, when you get the deal, it'll be available for 1 year from the time that you purchase it. It means 365 days. You don't need to cancel your current membership and it'll change to yearly membership automatically.

Best,
Ali

I just transferred one of my domains and it says the transfer was completed. I was able to create a website for it but it does not show up in my managers list, however, It does

It took a few hours when I transferred mine. When it takes much longer, I suggest you can contact Kyle

Thanks Loes, I have already contacted Kyle. Still having alot of problems tho. :(

I hope he can sort it out quick for you

Me too...it has been down for two weeks now :( I use it for my B&M stores.

A few hours - a few days, oke, but this is way to long

I agree...I am hoping it will be up this weekend.

Damn....guess I will not get my site up this week end either! :(

Have you tried to contact support? They are always very quick with a reaction

That was the first thing I did...It is still open...I hope.

I know how frustrated this waiting is, hope they will contact you soon

I was wondering just what are the limitation of using a siterubix website. I know you can not use FTP and it appears that that they are not indexed by Google. So what more can you

Won't the xxxx.siterubix.com sub domain website be indexed eventually and even faster if you add google analytics, SEO, site-map and submit to search engines?

Disregard, I found another discussion that answered my question, YES!

If you have your own domain name hosted at WA you CAN use FTP, but not on a siterubix subdomain. Everything that's published on the internet can be indexed by Google including stuff on subdomains. As far as I can tell. ~Marion

I made a rubixs site as a test site, I usually own my sites. I just happen to noticed it was not indexed, which is ok. I don't want it indexed, it is just a test site and it is the first time I have made a rubix site. Essmerier is right as well I am sure there are a lot of rubix sites out there and that's a good thing. :)
Thanks for your reply :)
Bob

I knew about the FTP issue, but it's not true that Google won't index them. Using this search: site:siterubix.com you'll see plenty of siterubix sites.

Still, I can't think of a reason to use one without a domain name. Don't know about other limitations. I tried to test a site with Siterubix just to see what the limitations were, but without FTP, it's hard to go poking around the system and I didn't want to buy a domain name just to find out.

Bob, if they're using a mobile phone to register, I suppose it is possible to have the same carrier service, in which case they could possibly have the same IP. But 10, then 2 or 3 in clusters? No!

I'd say it's spam.

You can try a plugin that prevents multiple spam registrations, such as:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/wangguard/

~Jude

Thanks for the link. Now I know what a splogger is. Still don't understand what they get out of this.

Same Ip, but how can it be when you didn't create the multiple accounts, but just count your blessings. Some of these accounts are harmless because they just hang in there just like a real member. Double check their posts and messages though, then you'll know.

Thanks GuangPeng, not having a problem with messages or comments but I am going to check them out by sending an email to all listed addresses and see what shakes out so to speak. :)

they are spammers and they are using your site to backlink people to their sites I would delete them or take off their Ip address and jus use the comment all the best

Thanks Maxiam, I was thinking they are spamer's or sploggers (now that I know what that is).

It was reported to me that while a member was on my site they were attacked by a Trojan while commenting on my site. We think it is related to the email management system in some w

Thanks for the insight LelandBest and Marion!

It is very RARE if not IMPOSSIBLE to receive a virus from a managed WP server site. (ie. Wealthy Affiliate is such a system) It's most likely your friends system identified a file that was being accessed on their computer that was already contaminated.

That's not to say that WA isn't subject to complications...I would suspect if such a problem ever arose, there would be a global warning to all its members.

Most malware is disguised with a ploy such as the "You have a Virus!" pop-up that resides in hover links (fire off when your mouse scans certain areas of the page) within bogus websites or through junk emails.

Here's a few tips:

NEVER open a "masked" link (ie. http://www.tiny.url/20938yu3) unless you know how it got that way.

If you clicked on the link I just told you not to, then you need to rethink your habits! :)

NEVER open links in emails unless they are from someone you trust and you can distinguish the name of the site from within the link

NEVER click on those pop-ups that try to tell you that Windows has identified a VIRUS that's in a browser window or pop-up. (Windows gives identifications ONLY on the taskbar)

NEVER run a "anti-spamware" software tool that has been forced into your face online.

They are ALL SCAMS to get you to click and then you have instantly installed malware into your system.

OK got it. You need to change your settings so people can leave comments without being logged in. I couldn't log in. See attached images. (If WA will let me send them.)

Thanks Marion, I will have to check out those settings. May have a conflict with a plugin I am using. :)

It may not be a problem on your website - it could be on the other person's computer and not related to you. Give me a link to your website and I'll check it out for you. I have Malwarebytes (paid version) so I will be protected. ~Marion

http://Robsans.net, he said he got this when he was trying to post a comment to one of my blogs. Thanks Marion

Sorry, I messed up. This time I followed the instructions and registered as a new user on your website (this shouldn't be a requirement for commenting). No malware, no trojans, no bad stuff at all. Please delete my comment because it was just to try it out for you.

I did. You want me delete the account as well?

Sure, I don't think I'll ever need it☺

OK it's done. Thanks again Marion. :)

Wow...I hope it is not WA but I really think it comes from what we open and get from others; as Bigdaddy says good malware is vital

Yes, I use Norton 360 on my computers and it works great for me. I am sure WA have measures in place to prevent this. I have heard of some people that can take control of websites and steel your stuff even misdirect people.

I always say it is a shame when people hurt others when they could put that knowledge to use for good.

I do agree Caroline. :)

If you are talking about a site hosted by WA, it could only come from your computer. But if this was only one comment, the problem is probably on their end.

Bottom line, good malware protection is vital.

BigDaddyFred

Yes it was my site hosted on WA and his Anti-virus took care of it.

I have not had any issues like this. I saw a woman talking about this in chat last night. She was informed it was her own computer and not related to WA. Is this what you are talking about? You can send in a message to support to double check.

I hope it is not related to WA and I have only had one report about it so far.
