Is half a page of images too much? Does it matter

Hi there!
It depends on what you actually want for your content. I have seen sites that have very few words, but more videos and photos.
However, I would advise that you take into account keyword placements. You would want to have enough text content, in order to have your keywords inserted. Mainly towards the top of your article.
It is generally encouraged to write close to 1500 words, however you do not always need to have that number of words all the time. Try to have a variety of shorter articles (500-700) and longer ones.
And do not forget to include keywords into the title of your photos as well. It helps you get ranked, as people do search for images on-line.

Thanks FarhanSidik, that has helped me in my decision, I will aim for 1k in words, keeping keywords towards top and in image titles.
Will use images to compliment what I'm saying in text, think that will be balanced.
