Happy New Year everyone!

Don't have a lot to say today, I just want to wish everyone a joyous celebration of the New Year.

I am remembering back to when I was a kid. We always got to stay up late, until midnight on New Years' Eve, although we often fell asleep before that hour. We would play boardgames.

We didn't have great TV options so watching the ball drop was only something I have done fairly recently. That was our tradition, playing games.

We also lived very close to a time zone boundary, and one year we went to a New Year's Eve party at the home of friends who lived on the other side. We left after midnight, and therefore got to celebrate the New Year twice in one night!
