I have 390 articles and most of them have recordings so people can either read or listen to them. I would like to get them heard by those who can not read. If you have any idea

@BruceFleming You may need a YouTube channel to upload your Mp3 videos onto. Also make the YouTube shorts version of the videos. Shorts tend to generate views as well. Hope this helps.

Also, repurpose content, however feasible.

Share on social media platforms where your audience hangs out.

Join suitable niche forums where you could contribute and, in time, share what you do.

I have 380 articles and I would like to rotate them so they are at the top of the list and special seasonal ones.

Not advisable.

It's nice to have variety. And what suits the medium you are posting to.

You can repurpose content.

You may reach out to Jay's live webinars to learn more; input "Repurpose Magistudios" in the magnifying glass top menu to access resources.

Hey Bruce,

Okay, I'll answer your initial question, but this also throws up a lot of questions in mind too.

Firstly, yes you can republish articles without changing them

BUT

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT.

Ever since Google's inception 25 years ago, SEOs and webmasters have been looking to "manipulate" Google's algorithms.

When it became clear that Google loves "fresh content", whether new articles or older articles being PROPERLY updated, many people caught onto this.

So, they simply went about "republishing articles", NOT making any changes other than the date.

This practice did work, but I'm talking pre-2012, however Google soon cottoned onto the fact that people were doing this.

Fast Forward to 2023, now we have specific Google Algorithm updates around "Helpful Content" and "Spam", any sign of "Attempts at Google Manipulation" can and will be punished (there have been literally millions of websites that have lost 50%-90% of their traffic in these specifically-named updates over the past 15 months).

This is why I suggest you DON'T DO THIS.

Secondly, how many visitors do you actually get to your homepage every month?

With most BLOGS, which have a blog roll, you're not actually trying to "rank your website", but rather you're trying to rank the individual articles for the primary (and secondary) keywords that they target.

So, check your Google Analytics for "highest traffic pages" and see how many visitors actually make their way to your homepage.

I would hazard a guess for most blogs with a blog roll this will be very low, perhaps 1-2% of your total traffic.

This shows that it is not worth putting "seasonal content" at the top of your blog roll.

Thirdly, you can make ONE POST a "Sticky" on your blog roll.

So, you can specifically choose one of your seasonal posts to be a "sticky" and it will stay at the top of your blog roll forever (or whenever you choose to change this).

However, once again, if you're not getting a great deal of traffic to your homepage then, once more, there isn't much point in doing this.

Fourthly, are your "seasonal blog posts" actually ranking for their desired (or any other) keyword(s)?

If not, then simply placing them at the top of your blogroll won't improve their rankings in any way.

In other words, if you're currently not ranking for those keywords you won't be getting any traffic to your "seasonal articles", so by putting them at the top of your blog roll they still won't rank or receive any traffic.

Fifthly (is that a word, LOL?), if you do want to "republish" a blog post and change the date to today's date I would only recommend this if you have made "significant changes" to the article.

What "significant changes" are is anyone's guess.

But, I would say that your article needs to be at least "30%+ different" from what it was before.

So, the most simplest way to test this would be, hmmm, let's say, that a 1,000-word article has been updated and is now a 1,300-word article.

But, this change could also mean keeping the word count the same, but rewriting certain sections of your article.

It could mean that you've added more images, an infographic, and a few more videos.

Essentially, only change the publish date IF you have made significant changes to the articles.

As I've mentioned, simply changing the publication date will very much look like "Google Manipulation" and there is a good chance that this may eventually get punished (which could take YEARS to recover from).

I think that's about everything.

Partha

Thank you very much! I thought this might be the case but wasn't sure. I use Yoast and rewrite and republish a few of my articles with major changes.

Great advice, as usual, PP!

LJoB

Love the advice, Partha.❤️

I have tried the site kit plugin, but it does not work.

You can go to gachecker.com and check if it is connected correctly; the first column green checks.

What happens when you go through the set-up process? After you go through this, you should be set-up. :)

It says that it is already set up under another admin. I am the only admin. It was working for months and then something changed and now it does not work.

Go to USERS in your WordPress Back Office.

Do you have one profile simply named ADMIN and another profile with your name, but also with Admin status?

If so, they will probably have two different email addresses allocated to them (you will see the email address next to the username).

It is possible that you set up SiteKit as one of the admin users (ADMIN or BRUCE), and therefore it is the email address connected to that user with which your SiteKit plugin has been installed.

Realistically, you want SiteKit to be registered under the same email address that you have your Google Analytics and Google Search Console regsitered to.

The screenshot below shows this for one of my websites.

I have the userame ADMIN as an administrator and also me, PARTHA as an administrator, as you can see they have two different email addresses.

So, it's possible you've set up SiteKit using oine email, but are currently logged into your website under a different user (which will have a different email address attached to it.

Thanks very much for your help. I got it working by opening a new analytics account with my site email.

I have a Christian website and several hundred pictures with quotes on them that I would like to allow people a free download. I have built them for use on Facebook as a daily

there is a downloader plugin that will allow others to see a download button and you to keep tabs on how many - you could even collect emails in exchange...
and then mail the list offers...
i don't remember the name but going to the plugin directory and typing in downloader you should be able to find it...
it will show the image and have a download button...

For other images

You can either access it via the site content area - websites tab top menu.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content

I click the highlighted mountain button. Or

Create a page on your website where you want to display your pictures.

Upload your images to your website's media library.

Add your photos to your page using an image block.

Add a download link to each picture or provide a single download button for all the images.

You cannot include an image from a program if you are not affiliated with them.
You cannot include images from anywhere, they may be subject to copyright; including a source isn't enough. You need written permission from the original owner.

Thanks, I have created most of my own images, however, I have used a few free images. Do you think the free images from pixabay will be a problem?

You can bundle them in a pdf file either per month or week (whatever you like) but an idea can be that you let them click the picture that leads them to an email form , so you can send them files to them via that channel & provide other material too.

My credit card company is not blocking my payment now, but I am told that the address is showing up wrong when it is submitted. I have attempted to use the change of informatio

I would follow Abie's instructions on this and watch the billing because I am unsure if there is a billing issue within the system. I noticed a few members yesterday was having this issue and others where being charged multiple times in a month.

Thanks, Kevin, I have tried Abie's and it did not work. I sent a request to billing and am waiting.

Well, I wish you luck! Abie is pretty knowledgeable so if you don't hear back from billing reach out to her again.
