Question about a post (getting started page)

Hi, Brpetersen ...Great Post. The 'steps' as well as the 'order' look great to me. The real point is to use them, as you suggest. The order is more of a 'preference' than real functionality ...though I prefer your order above, my good friend.
Thanks for the comment Mike. I agree the list order is a question of preference. The relationship between steps 3-5 is more circular than linear.

How do you remove the time stamp on your Wordpress posts?
I have a feeling the only way is to hack your PHP files.
This would be best done using a Child theme as an update would replace it again.
My thoughts.

I have a Facebook page, but I'm not sure what is the best way to post my affiliate link. Any recommendations???
Posting directly into the status message can create a long ugly link. Here's two options.
1. Use a URL shortener like https://bitly.com/ or (my favorite) http://goo.gl/
2. This is a fun trick. Paste the URL into your facebook status box and wait for the preview to pop up. (The picture and link title on the bottom.). Then, delete the link. The preview will stay, and people can just click on the post title to go to the page. No visible links at all, just an anchor link. ;)
Just because I can, I made a 40 second video showing #2 here on WA. lol http://goo.gl/gHBpwR
I'm not sure if you mean share it with your friends. If that is it, you just enter it where you usually say something in the "whats on your mind" area. Doing this will put the link on your timeline. Hope this helps.

How do (and why should) you upload Google's HTML verification file? I'm suppose to upload a Google generated HTML file to my website, but how exactly do I do that?
If someone still don't know how to verify your web in wordpress check the formal tutorial from SEO all in One. hopefully, new comers found helpful. Cheers

This training might help too:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-set-up-google-authorship-verify-with-webmaster-tools-google-analytics
You can upload it to the root directory of your using a Free FTP program called Filezilla, or you upload it via CPanel or the file manager of your site. The main reason for verifying your site is to have it indexed on Google's directory quicker. You can also control how your site appears in Google Search such as "www.mydomain.com" or simply "mydomain.com". There are also more advanced configurations such as parameters that can be setup and configured.
Although I'm being quite vague, it's generally good practice to verify your site with Google, Yahoo, and Bing. And even list in the www.dmoz.org directory.
