Quite a few of our WA members are already working with Windows 10.

A good friend of mine, who hoovers up information from lots of sources, has discovered that windows 10 has lots of new features, perhaps not commonly known....

I thought that some of these could be of interest to the community here so I am passing on some of these in the list below.

I am sure that those of you who are using Win 10 at present will be able to explore these more fully. For those of you contemplating upgrading, some these features may assist you in choosing to make the change.

Pin settings to the start menu.

Scroll inactive windows.

Click between open windows.

Snap 4 programme windows

Prevent updates costing you money.

Convert anything to PDF

Analysing your PC

See notifications in just one place.

Download Maps

Option to use a PC like a tablet (and vice versa)

That is enough for me to be looking into for now. If you want more info on the above, after raising any queries with a Google search, then give me a PM and I will try to assist.

Sadly one item has gone missing from WIn10 that free, much loved time waster Solitaire.... Well It's still there... But it has gone 'freemium'. I.e. You have to pay!

Sh! there is free online item....www.solitaireforfree.com if you are an addict

Don't tell on me will you?

Happy chill out time.... All you solitaire fans

Thanks

Thank you David.

Thank you David,

For those of you struggling, juggling all of your applications on one monitor Windows 10 also supports multiple virtual desktops.

Just switch between different desktop views with a click of a mouse.

That is another item I missed from the list. Sorry for the omission.
I thought multiple virtual desktops a bit scary for newcomers to WIN10.
You are obviously well into the new OS

I was testing some of the pre-release versions asI have an IT background ; )
