6 months! Anything worth having takes dedication!
Today, as I logged on to my WA profile, a notification popped up announcing that I had earned my 6-month dedication badge! WA certainly does keep track of everything!
Amazing that 6 months has already gone by since I first signed on to the world of Wealthy
Affiliate. Before 1 November 2020, I never even knew anything about affiliate programmes, and was even more amazed to discover how long they've been around and people all over the world have been earning money for years by being affiliates. I was literally an embryo in the womb of affiliate marketing.I have to admit I was skeptical at first when my mentor first introduced the idea to me. But, it came at a time when I'd been toying for a while, with the idea of supplementing my income with a business of my own. I just didn't have any clear idea as to what that would be.
Since then I have learned so much. WA has literally opened up the world of digitial marketing and moreso, the opportunity to make my dream of having my own online business a reality! Being a newbie took on a whole new meaning.
I knew nothing of WordPress, what SEO meant or Jaaxy and certainly never entertained the thought of building my own website myself. What an amazing experience that has been! Definitely not a walk in the park as I tested my toddler legs, learning to crawl and then walk the path of WA membership - I took my sweet time with Kyle's lessons and applied as I went along. Writing comes naturally to me than most because I've been doing it for my day job for a number of years. However, writing blog posts is a whole other ball game!
During these 6 months I have: i) launched my website; ii) ranked in the Top 200 at WA; iii) got
indexed by Google 3 times; iv) earned my first WA credit; v) ranked in the Top 100; vi) got my first paying job from my website with the prospect of a contract for more projects, and vii) increased my network that consists of some amazing, supportive and committed affiliates from across the globe! While I've learned how to walk, I'm still wet behind the ears and grateful for the experience of the seasoned WA affiliates who unselfishly give their support and share their knowledge and wisdom with youngsters like me!If you've read any of my blog posts before, you'll know that I believe in 'giving thanks in all things'. So, as I mark my 6-months with Wealthy Affiliate, I'd like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has made this journey the almost surreal experience it has been thus far, and thanks in advance to those of you who will enhance the journey that lies ahead! Blessings!
Cheers!
Maria

Hey Hugh! I really had no choice... My mentor is an incredible exemplar and apart from finding my wings, I wanted him to see that he had made a good choice in recommending me to this programme. Thanks for your continued support!
