Quick questions on fixing a couple of errors on Google Search Console.

Google SHOULD crawl your category pages. It won't index them, but categories are a good way for Google to be able to see all your content.

If Google is showing a 404 for pages you never published, it's probably because spam websites are linking to random things on your site that don't exist. If they link to mywebsite.com/no-url, Google will still attempt to crawl that URL even if it doesn't exist.

Hey Brok,

Perhaps the following video will provide you with the assistance you are looking for: Hope this helps you.

This advice says to "exclude the page or the blog". Does that mean your whole site will not be indexed?

Not sure where you heard me saying that Tj, as WordPress scripts see pages and posts as the same. Nowhere did I say to exclude the blog.

If your Google Analytics shows the errors as I have clearly shown you in the video, then you need to add only those pages or posts to your exclusion list so that Google scripts will be happy with your website.

Thanks for clarifying. Was rather concerned!

The Technical team also said no need to worry.

Keep safe & have a great day.

Trevor

Thanks for sharing these issues. I have not had them or seen them but great to know that they might be around and then how to deal with them if they do.

I'd update your sitemap plugin settings to not include categories, yes it's that simple, and then I'd rebuild the sitemap and resubmit it.

Perfect thanks for the response! Any experience with the URLs trying to be crawled that aren't published?

Did you look at the pictures on your site?
In Europe we laugh our head off because FB put off a page from a museum which showed the picture of old masters.

If you shared multiple posts in quick succession that can do it. Happened to me, I posted in about 6 groups a post from my page, one after the other.

FB sees this as spam, hence violating their TOS and poof page gone!

I now post my blog to my page and share to one or two groups each day, spaced out over a period of an hour or so and so far it hasn’t been a problem.

A direct affiliate link, even shortened or using pretty links is likely to get you banned as well apparently.

I also publish without links so at least our articles get shared.
Blessings

This is terrible. That's why I'm very timid when it comes to Facebook. Those guys are very unpredictable. I don't even have a page there. I just go straight to groups and publish my new posts. Facebook is not really worth my time. When it comes to them I use a very long spoon.

Sorry about your page being taken down. I hope you figure it out soon enough.

I do recall reading sth about the niche being a problem. You could try creating a group instead but I can't say for sure that will solve your problem.

WOW!!! That is awful!!!

I think with all the fake news there most likely have been some changes, as they are taking precautions. But I think the process is very subjective.

If your page actually violates FB's ToS, they should be able to tell you what the violation is and it seems like they can't.

That's awful. I know that lately FB has been making many people's lives hell with their new policies.

Did you have links attached to your articles if so that's why. FB catches that and feels your being sneaky just like google+ if it has links they will let you know about it. I never share an article that has any affliate links on it.

I'm starting to work on taxes and was wondering if WA sends out W2 (may be called something different if no taxes taken out, not sure). to it's affiliates?

Some of the US affiliate programs take tax info. Since WA is Canadien I am thinking it is up to you.

Marty

I'm pretty sure the answer is "No, you are responsible for your own taxes". At lease I can't remember filling out a tax form here.

In my opinion affiliate companies should not get involved in taxation because you are not an employee. But some of them have different ideas.

I have been wondering that too. I don't get commissions from WA right now as my first and current website is geared towards another niche, however I have started a blueprint for a second site that will be geared towards WA and so if I do start getting commissions from my second site, I would like to know if there is some kind of tax form as well.

Oh I do not know I am in the UK so we have different ways to do it and we have different forms,, hope you sort it out if all fails you could ask Kyle

I am working on them too and can not remember, lol Wow, I hope someone refreshes my memory soon, lol

I thought I'd ask the community before asking Kyle, but might need to send him a PM. I'm about to call my CPA as well

I am sure someone will enlighten us here

W-2 is an annual statement?

Yeppers

Could be a 1099 too, I can not remember

W-2 is if you are earning wages as an actual employee of WA. So it seems likely you will get a 1099.

yup, would be a 1099 then. last day to send those out is Jan. 31st.

I don't think WA has my address though. Maybe they use what's on your PayPal account?

I simply can not remember, man........

Can you please display the answer on this here Brok? I have your question in my "to follow up" folder:)

And soon, I am getting taxes ready tonight, lol

Being a business they may send 1095.

I've been taking part in the WA affiliate program now for 2 years and the last few weeks I've received a few emails that say I received 1 credit for a domain referral.

I

Hello Mr brokFJFH , a nice day to you.. im still a newbie could i pay later the premium

I had 2 of those exact emails today, but no credits have shown up in my account.

The domain referrals aren't the same as the credits you get for members feeling out their profile.

You can see the different credits by hovering over your profile picture (top right) and clicking on credit dashboard.

There's a description of everything there

Yes. You get $1 every time a refferal buys a domain here from WA.

it could be one your referrals bought a domain name from WA

It is when one of your referrals buys a domain name from the new WA domain app.

Thank you Tommy, haven't even seen or heard of that yet, will check it out!

Was wondering if anyone knew how to redirect your URL for instance the www.yourwebsite .com to yourwebsite .com

I'm hosting here at WA.

I hosting here at WA too. I went to my website, www.mywebsite.com and also to mywebsite.com - they both went to the same place. I did not change anything (to the best of my knowledge) to make this happen. Of course I replaced mywebsite.com values above with the name of my actual website.

I would suggest you try the same, and see does it work for you also straight out of the box so to speak.

Hey David,

Sorry I wasn't clear. My site does that as well when you type it in. But I was told for backlink purposes you should redirect to one automatically.

Instead of having links to both versions if it redirects it combines all links into one.

Honestly it may already do this, but was seeing if anyone knew for sure.

If I go to www.mywebsite.com/one-of-my-pages, after a moment or two, I see on my browser mywebsite.com/one-of-my-pages (the www at the beginning disappears), this suggests to me that it is working in the way you want.

I am not 100% sure.

If no one says for sure, consider asking Carson the question in a few days. Just a thought...

As a side note, that also suggests pointing people to look at mywebsite.com rather than www.mywebsite.com would be slightly faster as well.
