I have a question I had something on my mind so I developed my first blog and placed it in my file. Is my next step to sharing build my website as a means to share my blog open

Hey James,

Not sure exactly what you mean by "placed it in my file" but if you mean your first blog is on your computer somewhere, then yes, you would need to post it on the internet in order that others can read, share and even comment on it.

However, if you mean that you have published your first blog online and you want to know if you can use that exact post on your website, then I would suggest to you that this would not be advisable.

Simply because the second site to offer the exact same post would be deemed as duplicate content ... and Google does NOT like duplicate content.

Having said that, you could always reword the same subject matter and publish that on your website.

If you are asking how to gain traffic on your website, then yes, social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (to name only a few) would be a great place to share the URLs of your published posts.

Here are some tutorials that may offer you some help with social media: Hope this helps you.
